Possibly not JC but I think it likely that KDB and Silva wouldn't have played as much had Gundogan been available. We'll never know.

Probably not for sure, but Yaya's comeback coincided with Gundogan's non availability or as a sub for him.

I've decided this sordid rumour is a rag plant and Fabinho is destined for us.

For what it's worth, Sam Lee, who JC rightly says is a red, said a couple of days ago that Fabinho will not come to England this year.

Hard to know who to believe in social media.(noone I'd say)
It might just be wisest to wait until announcements are made on official club website.

Well if we are going purely off the rumour mill then the latest is a dooosey.
Rumour is that it was an either/or situation at Barca and Messi would only stay if Neymar was going.
Neymar is staying and Messi is expected to request to leave, to join up with his old manager Pep.

Let's see how long that one takes to do the full circuit.

Don't agree - other young strikers with similar tallies are going for over 50 mill

Other strikers that have done that in a second rate league! Who are they?

Mbappe?

He's done it at CL level too mate.

True but should that equate to an extra 78 million quid price tag?

I guess not Wooders but then it all depends on demand I suppose. If the clubs with the deepest pockets are sniffing then his price is going to be set an outrageous level.

Fern 2 must go. He is simply not good enough for the Prem, never mind a top side. Absolute fucking rubbish.

Yaya must stay. We are still nowhere near replacing him and it was one of Guariola's big mistakes to ostracise him. Costly.

Bullshit. Guardiola's handling of Yaya this season was nothing short of masterful. He's revitalised him as a player and got him and his agent in hand.

I agree with you Guy. I thought that was one thing that Pep definitely got right. His handling of Seluk in particular.
Yaya looks leaner and meaner than ever. I had him totally written off, but with the change in attitude am more than happy to see him stay.

Everyone but Pics agrees lads...Piccs would probably let YAYA shag his mrs , thats how much he likes him.

First things first. Gundo is not fit to lace Yaya's boots never mind replace him. We haven't manages to replace him nor come up with a strategy for him not being there. We wasted four months of the season without one of our best players. Sure it's quietened his agent down, but at a price.

£10M profit for very little. I myself would rather a sell on clause than a buy back option. Say 20%. Then if we do buy him back its already at a discount. And if someone else buys him we still gain.

Nice change to make on a deal. Reckon there will be more like this in the next few years.

there's probably a right of first refusal in the buyback clause. if another club wants to buy, we can either buy him for ourselves or for the purpose of selling him on at a profit.

Its a great deal already, if he's good enough he ends up costing 7m.
If not we make 10m.

Just been reading up and apparently we are only selling because he has failed to meet the criteria for a visa in the U.K. - hence the buyback clause (he has to play a load of games at international level to qualify so a few years away yet) so I have softened my stance and hopefully this will be seen as a loan of sorts

I don't see it as Pep having wasted the time.
If it took Yaya that long to get the message and to get himself into shape also, then job done as far as I'm concerned.
Seluk got away with disrespecting our club year on year because nobody had the balls to drop Yaya.
For the past two years he has been over his optimum weight and looked lethargic beyond his years. Pep was never going to play him until fit enough to play the way he wants.
Seeing how he handled the likes of Hart and Nasri and later to a lesser extent Aguero,Yaya had no option but to shape up as Pep showed nobody is bigger than the team. Nobody is bigger than the club.

There is no doubt with injuries we reached s period where we were crying out for someone like Yaya. But if we had of got a version of Yaya that looked like he didn't care, nobody here would be looking for him to stay.
What we got in my book was s product of that original conflict and it is a rejuvenated Yaya, who looks like the penny has dropped as to where he is in his career and what he has left to offer this squad.

According to The Times we've got our fingers in Van Dyck - £180k a week for 5 years. Get your clogs on Virgil!
