I'm confused - has he signed for Dortmund?

not quite yet apparently, but we're assured from an unimpeachable source that they don't need a manager to make signings

Excellent chum; go to it.

We're all waiting here with undiluted expectation and undisguised salivation at the prospect of the rich bounty which will undoubtedly emerge.

thats exactly how i feel too. good to know that others feel the same as me.

latest rumor is that we're in for Maximilian Philipp from Freiburg. possibly as a long term replacement for the injury-prone Reus since the Schurrle fiasco didnt work out.

as far as the manager vacancy goes it now appears to be between Cologne's Stoger or Ajax's Bosz after Nice refused to let Favre go.

I used to worry about undiluted salivation and undisguised expectoration on buses, the fine was 40/-.

Is Mendy a done deal? I'm reading that we've agreed a deal in principle with club and player.

My guess (which is worth nothing) is that its done but hes with the international team so it wont be announced until after those matches.

Loads of media saying it's agreed and once he's finished on international duty he will fly in, but there are no mentions of the origins of such a statement.

Closest i got was from a radio interview with Bernardo Silva............

telling RMC radio: "Benjamin Mendy is a friend. If he can play with me, I prefer to see him in my team than against me," Silva said. "Especially as he's a left-back and I'm a right midfielder!"

I think Mendy is a little further away although the sense is that he is about as done as Laporte was, so never count your chickens.

You could say the same about Ederson - except that Benfica have confirmed it, Ederson has said farewell to Benficia and accidentally posted photos inside the training ground which were hastily deleted, Bravo is talking about the challenge from Ederson and yet officially we've signed Bernando, YaYa has extended his contract and we've launched a new home kit.

Sounds like it's just ironing out a few creases and expectation is, it will be announced after the international break.

as requested:

supposedly Dortmund have signed highly-rated youngster Dan-Axel Zagadou after he left PSG. some sources say City were interested.

Looks like Aubameyang is a done deal for PSG if you listen to the french media.

57 mil pounds.

Not that much if you ask me.

Also, Willy might go to Newcastle. Good move for him, I hope the waiter takes him.

Considering we are supposedly going to pay £40m for a young full back, £57m for a guy who has scored goals for fun over the last four or five years is a snip. Probably half the price Mbappe will go for.

Surprised we haven't gone in for Aubameyang. Thought he would have suited us well

Can't go on signing attacking midfielders. Not what we need.

Interesting, as we offered more than that last summer and they balked.

Could be Pep has his eyes set on Alexis or Mbappe, yet I also heard this week on the 93:20 podcast that Aubameyang was not happy about how we handled making a bid for him last summer. Apparently we made the bid before working out things with his agent or talking to the right people first or something to that extent, so perhaps our relationship is not so great.
