Decided to give it a go at Sweden vs France to have a look at Mendy.

Have to say that I am impressed. Sign him up.

Lost his man for the 1-1

Although Payet was probably the worst culprit.

I think Payet was responsible, yes. Funny how he ”defended”. Reminded me of Nasri at that free kick when the rapist scored. I like what I saw from Mendy, mind that this is the second time I saw him. Impressed with his runs, but to be fair, I think it would be impossible for him to play also as a central back.

If the WC qualifications were the Premiership, Sweden would be Burnley: great at home, limited skills, massive work rate.

Out of interest, what did you think of Forsberg? Is he good enough for a top 10 Premiership team, or should he stay at Leipzig / go to Italy!

Difficult to say. Look at Janssen. I was convinced he will be fantastic in the league, but failed. Forsberg has a big advantage that he had two really good years in Germany, a top league (even the second tier) with top teams, so I think he might work in England

Going to Italy would be a mistake for a player of his type, if you ask me, he should stay at Leipzig until winter and play in the Champions League, then consder a move. But I think he could be really good here at teams like Everton, Stoke or even Soton.

I am still amazed why Berg never got a sniff in the Premiership at any team. He is a mean scoring machine at PAO for over 4 years now.

I think Berg has confidence issues. He needs to be the top dog. He was fantastic at Groningen where he was the big star, but turned to shit when he went to PSV and was just one of many.

How come that Welsh adulterer is a pundit for the England game? Is he giving advice on having affairs?

Just switched the TV on and seen the studio 'experts' lined up, especially the 'Family Man', all sitting there looking like a set of dummies in a shop window; 'muppetdom' personified and backed up by Glenda Boddle in the commentary corner. My goodness.

The football on offer will, undoubtedly, be awful, or even worse, but we've just got to stuff this SNP lot and ram their accursed bagpipes down their gullets.

Early signs that England are on a mission to make Scotland look good.

Rashford Messi re-inforcing the conceptual belief that his ball controlling skills are non-existent.

Rashford is p/poor. Our midfield is gash. Dyer and Livermore are not very creative. All = Snoooooozefest!

I really have to feel for the national team of England to have Livermore as a starter and that muppet on the bench.

Really hard to understand because this generation is full of good youths.

I'm with you on this JL.

England are particularly clueless up front and pettyfoggingly pedestrian in midfield. I think the ball they're using must be particularly scary as they look terrified of it when it's passed to them.

Now it's half time and the muppets will be finding either excuses for the ongoing dross, or even telling us what a great game it is, with the Family Man trying to look alert and knowledgeable.

How the hell Kane got the golden boot when he looks clueless in an England shirt is beyond me.
