Yes. I remember Keith Curle playing at right back in the European Championships in 1992. He didn't play that well but he got absolutely slaughtered in the media. Not a peep for tony dorigo, who refused to play there. I have often wondered why that was.

I wouldn't mind but dorigo wasn't even English anyway.
