SKY, so what's happening?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

SKY, so what's happening?

Postby john@staustell » Tue Jul 11, 2017 4:58 am

So does this new system mean that I can knock on the head golf (a good walk ruined), egg-chasing, rushing around in giant Scalextric and some other useless stuff and get football cheaper?

What football they have left that is!

Yes but still at the princely sum of an extra £18 a month so not really saving that much - also I think that you would need to fork out £22 (an extra £4) to pick up all Sky footie i.e. Championship downwards etc

Plus I think I've just signed up for at least a year by discounting something.

But then again this is apparently an attempt to snare the 60% of punters who download Sky feeds illegally, by providing cheaper matches.

Not much hope for existing subscribers though.

If this thread had been in 'Off Topic', it would have been all about the 1980s classical-rock instrumental band, formed by John Williams and Francis Monkman ;)

What's in a name ??

Well funny you should ask, because in keeping with your OT 'Ridiculous Misconceptions', I always had john Williams the Aussie classical guitarist and John Williams the American composer down as one and the same person.
Think 'Cavatina' .... i.e The Deer Hunter (Aussie john) and
Then think of every other Spielberg film ever made from Jaws to Close Encounters to E.T. and Indiana Jones etc.George Lucas stuff too Like Star Wars. All of them. (American John).

On top of that I also confused Mason Williams of Classical Gas fame with Aussie John.

There's the Williams Clan for you. 'Williams' .... derived from the Ancient Mesopotamian,Wilma, meaning to fidget ones fingers very quickly on taut string.
