Like many on here not bovvered about Alves
Ditto Sanchez
Ditto Walker
Ditto Carvalho

Fabinho, Mbappe, Bellerin, Van Dyck and Bertrand on the other hand - but it looks unpromising in every case :(

Fabinho signed for Atletico today so you'll need to chalk him off I'm afraid

IF he does sign for PSG, it will play into Mr Levy's hands.

Reports he's had his medical for PSG.

I think this has to do with being newly married. I believe his wife is a model and lives in Paris.

Regardless, she's a straight woman, and you've just married her. Good luck saying no to her wanting to live in Paris when a quite similar option to us is available.

All French press and beyond saying he has a medical tomorrow at PSG having been picked up this afternoon from CDG by limo, 2yr contract...

Not overly fussed, great player and achieved shit loads but doubt his legs would've carried in the Prem.

Time to move on

Okay, now I can admit we have some issues.

Really frustrating that we have had this happen to us two summers in a row, a player changing their mind at the last minute.

Aurier might be a real signing now. Is his UK ban permanent?

I guess Pep is furious with this, bit of a stab in the back for him after all.

I do wonder if Txiki is waiting for a call from Khaldoon. I suspect it could be a "get your shit together" kind of call. Made to look like Muppets will not go down well. It's not quite Gary Cook but........

Alves's biggest asset to us would have been his big game experience and I think that's what Pep wanted him for.

We can still get that player with the big game experience, it does not need to be a full back but we need full backs ASAP.

Also may as well forgot about any call to spurs for a while, Levy will be looking at the phone waiting, the sooner we call the higher the price for Walker will be.

This is serious. Txiki should have moved immediately Juve released Alves. Maybe they trusted his word or that of his agent. Who knows? The result of this fiasco is that we now have to pay for an additional right back rather get one on a free. AND the price of Walker just went up. Does that mean no money for a CB or Sanchez?

Where's Serge Aurier going? Could we get him off PSG? The only alternative to an expensive purchase is to give Maffeo a chance which Pep clearly doesn't want to do. I think he's been loaned out anyway so too late.

Oh and I'm getting a bit fed up with Mendy's teasing. We understand the Union Jack reference in the Instagram. Please just stop fucking about, get over here and SIGN.

The mistake we've made is releasing Zaba AND Sagna.
Personally would have kept Sagna and bought a younger full back.
Txixi will be under huge pressure to get deals over the line.
Pep hasn't come here to tread water and the squad is thin to say the least. Yes it's only July but we are now officially back and nowhere near ready squad wise, with the deficiencies from last season still unresolved.
