Alves is clearly a pussy & knows he can't cut it in the premier league. Maybe hes saving Pep the embarrassment. If only Bravo would have done the same.

With all due modesty I would respectfully bring my post of the 17th of June to the attention of readers

johnny crossan wrote:'Dani Alves has already given his personal consent over a move to Manchester City. [@romeoagresti]'

That was very good of him I'm sure but my strong sense is that this is all part of a contractual negotiation with a different party - as so often in the past.

No need for modesty JC, that was good perception at an early stage.

It would be very fitting if Alves were to have a career ending injury in his first game for PSG.

Surely we have to focus on another RB other than walker, who we might not get. Danilo being mentioned.

Rumour on twitter suggested psg were doubling his money. For a player at the latter stages of career it makes sense that he gives serious consideration to wages.

If its true then fair enough now just need to move on.

Really frustrating that we have had this happen to us two summers in a row, a player changing their mind at the last minute.

Aurier might be a real signing now. Is his UK ban permanent?

It's not a ban - it's a block on any visa being given until 5 years after his offense - unless he becomes an EU citizen before those five years are up and/or before we leave the EU. (and assuming he either hasn't appealed or that his appeal was unsuccessful)

It is all about the money, as it nearly always is, but glad were not paying him 230k a week for two years.

I thought it was about his new wife getting a modelleing contract in Paris. PSG showed some interest ( maybe he went to them to see) and the rest is history with a doubling of his wages thrown in.

If he's a single man, he's our player.

Blame the wife.
