Enner Valencia leaves West Ham for Mexican side Tigres. He spent last season on loan at Everton scoring three goals in thirty appearances. Another example of the folly of buying a player after an International tournament

Dortmund sell Sven Bender to Bayer for 15m
Bayer now have the rare luxury of a free halftime sub when the Bender twins are both in the match squad but only 1 starts.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

They should be made to tattoo their squad numbers on their foreheads.

If I was a Barca fan I'd be rather underwhelmed with this signing.

They're broke aren't they?

This was a buy back clause I believe.
TBF even if they move him on in 12 months, they'll make a decent wedge with the stupidly overpriced market.

Fascinating stuff phips. You really should spend more time on the Dortmund fans forum, we'd completely understand if that meant a dramatic reduction in your insights appearing on here.

Mmmmm.....just a thought JC but, just as Victor Hugo wrote "a compliment is like a kiss through a veil", in a strange sort of parallel, Mr Phips seems to regard admonition from yourself as a tickle under the chin.
I'm really not sure what to make of that.

Tiemoue Bakayoko signs for Chelsea from Monaco for £40m.
They have raked it in this window already.

They certainly have NB and, by comparison with them, we look to have been very slow in our own dealings.
However, I think the players we need are very specific to our style and I just wonder if the ones Chelsea have taken onboard, would fit into our line up ??
It's easier to get 'good' players when the team demands overall are less stringent.

I don't get your arguments. As far as I'm aware they got three players in so far: Big Willy, Rüdiger, and Bakayoko. That's the same number of players we have signed for our first team (Ederson, Bernardo, and Walker). And our two first signings were swifter than theirs...

Have we completed the purchase of Walker yet; until we do I'm not counting him ??
How many players did Chelsea 'need' ; three ?? and how many do we need; five, six, seven ??
By
COMPARISON with them we
SEEM to have been slow in our own transactions, thwarted or otherwise.
We have a lot further to go yet, which exacerbates the impression.

I was referring to the amount of money Monaco have received thus far, with the possibility of Mendy and Mbappe and Lemar being sold for close to £180m as well

Walker has been official announced.
We got our two first players in before they got their first in. We got Walker in before they got Bakayoko.
I do realise that we have more business to do, but I still think that we have been acting with urgency, but have been held back by circumstances.
