Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

https://www.instagram.com/kylewalker2/That's got to be us right? I'd be happy with that.
Now two centerbacks, leftback, goalkeeper and possibly third fullback as a cover.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Some very complimentary comments about City from the great unwashed on the Beeb's Walker to City story.
This one is the pick of the bunch
"Oh man city spending money on players ...wow, that sheikh and his family sure have lots of money. Shame they fund Isis too who kill loads of civilians in the middle east and britain. Oh but that's ok because he's got a nice pr vechile in man city now with Mr nice guy pep to figurehead it. I thought man city fans were principled, so why overlook the hypocracy?"

Is above just a public comment or is it from a journalist piece on BBC?

I'm certain there's only about six different posters on the BBC have your say articles, all with loads of multiple accounts.
And they're all a bit wrong in the head.

Eh ? we will have Mendy and that's it...maybe just maybe, that bloke form Southampton but that's about it....we are fine at the back imo.

We do need centre backs. Otamendi and Kolarov aren't good enough, Stones probably isn't good enough and Kompany is always injured. Although I doubt we will buy any as I think Pep and Txiki think the current set of players will be sufficient.
However, even with the limitations at centre back, if Pep played a consistent pairing and didn't change it every week, that would go a long way to allowing the players to develop a system and understanding together. Even players who aren't the best in their position can be solid and organised, which would be a massive improvement over what we've had in recent years.

I'm not fine with Kolarov as one of two left fullbacks and Fernandinho as one of two right fullbacks. There's still plenty to do this transfer window.

We've still got some other options there I.e mangala and Denayer - I don't think we're shopping for cbs to be honest

I'd much rather see Tosin ahead of those two

Denayer just isn't at this level. Poor in a poor team last year. Horrifies me some think he's good enough to play for City
Tosin? Dunno. His new contract may be part of the loan fee/sell-on game
Mangala - no good with the ball at his feet
If Kompany gets injured again and we haven't signed one, we'll be fucked

So would I.
He's got to be given a chance, at the very least, to see if he can make it with us otherwise, what's the point in the possibility of us not signing any new centre backs ??

This. We looked so much stronger the last few games with Kompany in the team......but how many matches do we think he'll play this season without getting injured.
Very risky game we are playing if not in for a new centre half
