Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Squad is coming together, to me it looks awesome
The attacking talent is fantastic and the gaps in defense are being plugged.
Well capable of winning pots.
But it is extremely difficult to win pots if the playing field is not level.
Which it was not last season and cost us dearly.
Notice there is not one word about the daylight robbery from last season in the media, it is all about Pep's first season being a disappointment.
Nothing about the favoritism towards the Rags, particluarly around XMAS and the New Year.
What a joke!
So will the playing field be level for this season or will it be like last season, anti City agenda implemented via the officials?
I reckon the club has resolved this problem, quietly and out of the public eye - but sorted none the less.
I think we will see a level playing field this season.
I am curious what other posters think?

It's my belief that there is absolutely no chance whatsoever of a level playing field. If anything it will only get worse.
I think of myself as an optimistic person and generally I believe people are alright at heart but where there are large sums of money involved, as is the case here, all sense decency goes out the window.
Sorry, mate. That is perhaps not what you were hoping for as an answer.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Yes TB money talks and what you say makes sense to me.
We have very powerful and rich owners though.
Just hoping that they have used their muscle to swing it back to a level playing field.
Otherwise a multi billion pound investment will fall short - I just cannot accept that they would let that happen.
Hoping for the best, we will know soon enough.

TB is spot on.
Our owners will never make a noise , they are just not like that (unfortunately) we will have to score 3 goals a game to ensure we win more than we lose due to the fuckign bent bent bent refs.
One day , the can of worms will be opened and we will find out who the sepp blatters are of the FA and their bent following.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

We're going for a ref-proof squad. Sound approach, I reckon.

Or a pitched roof.
Moreover if, next season, it looks as though we could be in 'danger' of being a real threat in the League, the refereeing performances of last season will seem tame by comparison with what will happen, to ensure our progress is halted.

It's almost at the stage that if we were to get a decision going in our favour, we'll all be thinking "what's this referee up to, he must be planning to 'do us' big time, within the next few minutes ??".

I half jokingly suggested we buy off PGMOL last season to ensure fairplay - it might be a good investment.
VIVA EL CITIES

Funny thing is D, we probably wouldn't have to pay out so much as well.
Thirty two pieces of silver should easily suffice.

Perfect answer to a rhetorical question FIBD.
I don't think any other team, not even the Dippers, comes close.

Just think what the Rags got away with last year. How many referring decisions actually went their way and how many reds that were just waved away. And they still finished 6th!
Everything will go in their favour, once again, and as usual the powers that be will just brush it under the carpet.
WWE is well and truly alive and well in the PL, it's just about how much shit you're prepared to put up with.
