Inigo Martinez on the brink of joining Barcelona, if he goes it's another one off our list of possible CBs. The Mangler might be stopping yet.

Keeping him on ice so we can sell him before he gets injured.

Dembele apparently off to Barca to replace Neymar. Personally think he'll be better than Mbarm

After Bayern got Rodriguez and PSG Neymar, looks like there is only one option left for Sanchez.

Barnsley, of course.
Joke aside, you think he would go there instead of a reunion with Pepinho?

out of curiosity, why do you think it's at all up to him? he's under contract at Arsenal. he cant just say "i wanna go to City" and that's that.

He can't. What he can say is I'm not renewing my contract under any circumstances. He could also put in a transfer request formally although the hypocrisy of loyalty bonuses often get in the way of that. He can then leave for a foreign club in January whether Arsenal like it or not ( he buys up the contract I think). If City come in with a bid for 50 million or whatever the Arsenal board have a decision to make whatever Wenger says.
The nuclear option is to start refusing to train properly etc but in a World Cup year I doubt it.
Of course he could wait out Arsenal until next year and get a fat signing on bonus while they get nothing.

I think he is playing the last year of contract card. Arsenal would try to sell him anywhere, but he can tell them to fuck off. At the end of the day, Arsenal will either sell him this summer, or make him sign a new contract and by selling him, I think that means to us.

Feel like Pep wouldn't have said that if we don't have someone on their way.
Wonder who it is.
Mbappe or a centre half?
Surely we want to sign another one now that we've played well with the 3-5-2 formation and Vinny's injury record.
Javi Martinez was rumored earlier in the summer, and would suit us well as 4th choice (sorry Tosin...who I think will still get a few games in cup matches aginst lower opposition -- if we are so fortunate). I have a feeling it's going to be him.

Well that was paying his release clause. there's been no mention of Sanchez's release clause (he might not even have one) and this stuff about us bidding 50m for him...if he had a release clause it'd be higher than 50m.
and my post was it sounded like PP was just saying Sanchez could choose who he wants and then that's that (i may have misread that tbf) which isn't the case. footballers like to think they can leave when they want but they really can't.

There's been no mention of a release clause but 50 million is huge for a one year contract.
