MotM v Liverpool

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Sep 09, 2017 1:17 pm

A few contenders today, not sure if Stones gets my vote for his defensive duties or GJ for his goals. Saying that, Sergio did set it up and score one and KdB has been superb.

I can't choose between KDB and Stones - Mendy played well too, great game from Sane when he came on (and Jesus before he went off) - Kun was Kun (as always).

Want to give it to Eddie, for showing us the value of having a good keeper, but it has to be Kev for me.
Had a great game.

Ederson

He mistimes that header when he got twatted then he likely takes Mane out and gets sent, incredibly quick off his line and remarkable bravery from the lad won us this game today

In 5-0 the creative players always catch the eye, but for me it's a choice between Danilo and Bendy. I thought Danilo filled the gap left by Kompany well and his pace made a difference, second half he pushed forward more and at times was an extra midfielder. Also great to see him organising more senior players.

In the end though I'm going for Mendy, great home debut, good partnership already with Sane, helped us exploit the extra space after the sending off and pulled the dippers all over, and mad as a box of frogs, great signing.

My thoughts exactly and I will add Ferna to the mix. However KDB was world class for me today.

Numerous contenders today. Fern really caught my eye and controlled the midfield and my MOTM. Danilo & Mendy really superb, then the usuals of KDB, Serg, Merlin and disappointed that Jesus got subbed when on a hatrick

As for our brave keeper, seems we have a new Zabba, great to see him up on his feet. I must admit I was worried after we also we reduced to 10 men when Bravo came on, staggered and happy we kept a clean sheet

Only possibly Kev Brown.

Impressed by the extra quality in the team though like Mendy, Danilo, Walker
