City’s medical team are hoping it was just an impact injury - but further tests will tell if he has suffered ligament damage.
“Tomorrow he will have a real test,” said Pep Guardiola. “He feels better - it was a kick. Hopefully not his ligament.”

I'm not so sure. It didn't look like a kick in the replay, looked like he placed his foot and felt something in his knee. Really hoping he's OK!

He did his knee early on playing against England a few months ago in a nothing incident. I really hope it's not a repeat. We are a bit short at full back.

Might be 6-8 weeks out.
Danilo will step up, no doubt, but he looked better on the right, not on the left. Still, maybe It was just a small knock.

To be honest I wasn't that stressed when he went off injured as I quite like his replacement ,Danilo.
Sounds crazy, I know, but as much as Mendy is far better as an attacking left back, Danilo is a better defender and is also quite a good crosser of the ball.
Having said that - obviously would prefer Mendy and I hope its just a knock.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

dont want to be negative but there was some twist when the leg went down. a knock sounds susppect.
just hope its a minor twist and tomorrow Ben will be cleared.
Danilo is very good allround, but I dont wanna even think about having to play 3 months or so with 2 FB only

Hoping it's nothing major, Danilo and delph aren't half bad replacements tho.
Tracking back is overrated.

If Mendy is out for some time, players such as Stones, Mangala and Fernandhino might also have to be drafted in to do a stint in the full back positions PBL.
Overall, not a desirable proposition.

Delph has offered his services also as he has played that position in training and at previous clubs. Saturday's goal must have impressed as well!

The incident with Sterling in the England France game looked much more innocuous, and he was out for months.
