Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Tripe was a staple for many families of that era & generation.
Among the few places near us where you can still buy tripe and the associated intestinal delicacies are two shops in Cheadle and Edgeley
any relation?
I suppose nowadays, the main purveyors of tripe are 'Sky Sports News', 'The Sun', 'The Daily Mail' and 'The Mirror' and the likes.
Very good
Absolutely NB; IWT's dry, Irish humour is fantastic - long may it continue.
The said media "purveyors" also specialise, to a supreme degree, in producing bile, which is somewhat far removed from JC's "associated intestinal delicacies".

I usually like offal, but tripe is the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. It might have been down to the drunken, Hungarian chef who prepared the meal, but I'm not willing to try it again.

Hi all,
I’m not very good at introductions...
I’m a Prestwich lad. Dragged up a blue in the 1990s. Cried at Wembley in 99 before Horlick Scored. Cried again when Weaver ran off celebrating. Questioned whether or not Football was really a sport or a form of torture when Pearce was manager, but it’s all paid off for what we’re seeing week-in week-out now.
Seasoncard holder and a Junior Blue (when that’s what they were called) as a kid and now I go to as many aways as I can afford (justify to the missus)/get a ticket for.
Cheers

Just wanted to share a video with you it is a tribute to Sergio Agüero done by a local band. The song and video are brilliant along with the goals.

Welcome to the site JJ mate.
Am not sure if, in my capacity of foreing bandwagon gloryhunting Yoda jumper, I'll ever be entitled the honor to welcome a fellow new member.
But I find Your introduction particularly charming and cool.
keep it up with good work and stand tall to any possible adversity that may challange Your, hopefully, long stay with us.
As much as real life, the best City forum in the Land and the whole world can be quite demanding at times, being populated by very funny, strange egomaniacal animals of all sort, but it's worth the residence any day of the week.
for any problem, please go to "Ask the Lads" section in Off Topics and post your question.
Folks smarter than me will be prompt to help You out.
1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City
You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...
In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Well done!
Stick the lyrics on the video and send the link to the club, asking them to play it at home matches. Get the fans singing it; it's a great 'chant'.
Actually, thinking about it, maybe, for copyriight reasons, it would problably best to send the lyrics and a link to this video to the club and ask them if they could do a copyright-compliant version (with lyrics). Copyright is boring and restrictive I know but the club, like any responsible business, won't flout intellectual property - not least because they have a lot of their own.
Oh, and welcome to the forum. I hope you'll stick around and contribute. We're a friendly lot (well, apart from Carl
).

I have joined this forum hoping to have a better experience/welcoming that I did on BM! All I will say is BM is full of BS, end of, anyway back to introducing myself.
First game was City v Bury 1964, it ended 1 - 1 somebody called Colin Bell scored for Bury, then our keeper injured his hand I think, no subs then, so went on wing. He duly scored equaliser Harry Dowd his name hence my sign on name.
I should have known then I was in for an interesting journey, I obviously have had many high and low points, winning the old first division with Bell, Lee, Summerbee, Nelly Young et al was fantastic, I was so young then and thought we would be great for many years, winning leagues and all. The rest as they say is history, don’t want to mention the low points. However the year we won the prem was awesome the Aqueroooooo moment, the irony of beating the rags to the title in added time was the icing on the cake.
The football we are playing now is some of the best I have ever seen. I cannot get to games now, to many age/logistical issues, I watch games on streams and listen to radio. Being a City fan of so many years standing there is always a small bit inside me that says this wonderful time can’t go on! I just will keep enjoying it!
Anyway that’s me introduced, hope it wasn’t to boring.

Good first post, welcome!
This is a good place, although a bit too quiet of late. Being a cunt is ok, just don't be a total twat until we know you a little better.
