It used to be not, but they change the rules every 5 minutes. If anyone transfers to City, they will be cup tied - simple!

It seems to be that you can play for a different team in the group qualifying round and the knockouts provided the original team aren't in the same competition.
A maximum of three new players can be named by 2nd of February.
I think what it really means is you can play for Arsenal in the Europa groups and then for City in the knockouts of the CL, but you couldn't play for City in the group of CL, come third and enter the Eutopa and then play for Arsenal.

That's my reading of the rule but I might be getting it arseways.

That leaves only the CL knockout stage with us for Sanchez to aim for this season, assuming we get through the group stage of course.
