Comedy of errors at the start of the first half and it’s now 1-1.

2-1 City.
We got a very soft penalty for holding or grappling as it turned out, at a corner.

Diaz converted I think. (I’m watching with sound down)

Blessed there.
Should have been 2-2 but the guy who headed it was just offside.
Poor defending from a set piece though.

I wonder who this Zoubdi fella is ? This was a crazy game we should have won comfortably and did in the end but for some reason allowed it to be difficult for a while in the 2nd half.

We lined up with a 3.2.5 formation and 2 of the back 3 are reluctant defenders. Davenport the left side really prefers midfield and Colin Rosler on the othet side also prefers midfield I think but at least he has played a lot at full back.

The first half was ridiculously one sided but we only scored one. Although how Touasi missed an early chance after rounding the keeper I don't know. Seemed to do everything right but then slied into the side netting. He did redeem himself when he set up the goal tho for Diaz. Latched onto a loose ball and just attacked the byline, went a long a short way and then just rolled it over for Brahim to knock in.

Plenty to be pleased about in the way we pressed the game and kept winning the ball back. Definitely like the first team do but then we just didn't have enough real creativity to score the goals.

The second half was very quickly different. I guees a rocket had been put up their jacksi as they were much more aggressive and at it. Twice winning the ball off us in midfield and the 2nd one after Smith lost it brought the goal. Only a last ditch tackle had saved the other one.

Overall we were still the better side but questions were being asked and we looked a bit shaky. The penalty might have seemed soft but they can only blame themselves. The ref had already had words with the defender marking Matondo but he still marked him with arms around him.Even if not touching as soon as matondo tried to move for the ball he ended up stopping him. Matondo went to ground and that was that.

The third goal was nice with a break from Diaz, he slipped Touazi in, he went round the keeper again and from the byline rolled in back.It ended with garre knocking it in. Comfy from then but Napoli did bring out plenty of Italian standard nonsense with diving, pulling, bad tackles and probably pinching. One idiot was booked for diving and then 10 minutes later did a joke dive which the ref didn't buy but took pity on him and didn't send him off.

Diaz probably the star man. Touazi I really liked despite the mad early miss. Matondo is a real flyer and scared them a lot but kept mesing up at key moments. He will get better for certain. Smith back in a midfield role he suits was good but did get caught once or twice which just must not happen. Another good shift from Garre.

Might be interesting back at their place. We are much better than them but they will get all the tricks out so we will need a good ref.

Good win for the EDS today 4.1 v Derby. Bad news though for the under 18's as they lost against Everton. first loss for them this season.

The EDS started very sluggishly againt Derby too and it took some magic from Diaz , who else, to create a goal for Garre, Sadly he got injured doing it and although he hung around till half time he was clearly in trouble. Shame as I wondered if we due to play v Wolves.

His replecement wasnt bad tho as Nmecha scored a hat trick in the first 23 minutes after half time. Won the penalty which he scored from and then 2 clinical finishes. Not bad for a first game back after an injury.

A few good performances today , Tosin looked good, Davenport as well and a good game too for Dele-Bashiru.

If you want to see some bent reffing have a look at the Romanian specimen in charge of this game.
Brazil nailed on to win this - they're allowed to foul at will and any foul by us is carded.

2-1 England, good finish from Brewster, Foden involved.

Looks a really good, calm player, perfect weight of pass to play in our RB for the cross leading to the goal
