Media darlings atm.
Agree with both your points, but I am more worried about your first point as yes it will be a help to them long term.
As to what the media think I am continuing not to give a shit.

In terms of being out of the cups helping with the league, I think that applies more to the FA Cup than the LC, as the period after Xmas is the busiest and most tired for the players, and there are only 3 LC games at most compared to 6 FA cup plus any replay. On the plus side the team get a confidence boost from being in it. They are just trying to make Spuds feel better.

At the end of the day, it's just the first of all the trophies that Tottingham aren't going to win this season.

That's a very polite and understated way of putting it LB.
Had it have been us, we would have been slagged to the rafters.

I was at the match with my Dad, he would have been happy us going out because of the extra matches. He said Semi's were home and away making 4 matches to win it.
Personally I'm happy us going through, although I don't think the quality of our squad is as strong as many think. Injuries to KDB, a CB or Walker would have a huge effect on our season.

I was lucky enough to get tickets to the L C final
Against Liverpooh tother year everybody I spoke to were glad we were in a final . Had a fantastic day
Winning was just the cherry on top for me .
L C may not be top of the priority list but it needs to be given the time of day just for the fans ,

Very true. And those 2 extra games in January, if we get through, will be a joy to behold!

Oh yes, keep them in the spotlight.

Oh well, somebody's got to love him so it might as well be a three year old, especially as I'm surmising his Mum finds it a difficult proposition.
Apart from his arrogance and assorted other personality drawbacks; the magnitudinous dimensions of his unsightly proboscis don't make it easy.
All in all, he's virtually unlovable.

Read LC match reports in a re top - Mdont know which one - waiting to get a hair cut.
The report said 'City played a second string but still managed to field a team worth a mind boggling £250M.......'
No other report mentioned the team value.
sigh....

You can also always rely on Channel 5's much reviled Colin Murray - £284m according to the football expert who knows nothing about football. Enjoy the full Dundonald grave digger experience here - you need to endure the initial ads though then slide on to 56' 20" -

See Pat Nevins piece on John Stones being key to our tactics and success. Good to see I'm getting praised for his part.

It's utter bollox thinking it would be great to get knocked out of any of the cups. You never know when it could be a last trophy for 35 years or more, I just don't buy the 'focussing on the league' shyte either. People will be expecting us to ditch the FA Cup next so we can play in some new-fangled cup the otherside of the world that will end up dissolving in a couple of seasons ... we ain't ragfans FFS, some City fans need to give their head a wobble

Due respect my friend, but it's as much the utter bollox as to say that anyone having a righteous laugh at the mickey mouse cup are not gonna pay overdue respect to a trophy as prestigious as the FA Cup.
As usual, You never fail to put a glimpse of outright truth in Your B*ll*x: we ain't ragfans FFS, in fact.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City
You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...
In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

If you've got a special poached egg recipe JL, you ought to post it in the 'Off Topic' section.
There are some culinary pioneers and explorers on there who would be delighted to know about it.
