What's happening? What happened to the thread updates?

Knew they ran Barca close but did I see they beat Madrid?

Updates on are boys ?

They beat Real 2-1. Pablo Maffeo is the only one of our boys that started the match. Olarenwaju Kayode came on as a sub in the 82 minute. I have no clue how they played.

Maffeo marked Ronaldo out of the game insomuch as Ronaldo went off in a strop and would not shake his hand unlike Messi who was talking to Maffeo all game and asking him how things were at city ,also giving him encouragement and a few tips
Big difference

Yeah difference being one won the match and one of them lost. When I use to play basketball and American football, I was one of the biggest assholes when I lost. My own family would even avoid me for a day or two. With that being said I can't stand Ronaldo.

He was an unused sub against RM.

Girona's games get covered in the 'Other games' threads. They play again today, at 11am (GMT) away to Levante, who are just above them in La Liga. Win that and they'll go from 13th to 9th, at least for a few hours.

Team for today is

13 Y. Bounou
2 B. Espinosa
20 Muniesa
15 Juanpe
25 Pablo Maffeo
24 Borja García
11 Aday
9 Portu
6 Granell
8 Pere Pons
7 C. Stuani

Subs

1 Iraizoz
3 J. Mojica
4 Ramalho
12 Douglas Luiz
16 Timor
18 O. Kayode
23 Aleix García

Girona won 1-2 and do indeed go 9th.

(Enes Ünal got a late consolation goal for Levante.)

Girona play bottom side Alavés at home this evening. Win by 1 goal and they'll move up to 8th, win by 2 goals and they'll be 7th, just one point behind 6th placed Villarreal. So a 0-1 defeat then.

Yeah, Alavés came back with three late goals to win 2-3. We should have had some money on that at 2-0 with 20 minutes to go!

Only Maffeo of our lads started, with Douglas Luiz coming on as a late sub at 81' (at 2-1!)
