We've a Pep discussion being hijacked with by song lyrics and MC's post is the only one that isn't a song lyric......well not one I recognise anyway.
I'm getting Elvis, Bob Dylan, Poison, ABBA, The Darkness, but MIkhail you of all people not taking the opportunity to insert a musical insight?
Unless it's something obscure I've missed.
They were some alternative lyrics to part of the song (the big build up ending) 'I Believe', that JC posted.
Ahhhh! Of course.
I should have known better.
Now you've compounded matters by quoting the Beatles.......
Nah! Jim Diamond is better........
Ok. I should have known better,
than to lie to one as
musical as you.
Now back to Pep.....
Will he stay or will he go now.
If he goes will there be trouble

Shot my Load,
Spewed onto the Motorway Shoulder,
I Could Have Been Somebody Special."

To leave the musical theme, I'd be more than happy just to win the League.
Anything more would be icing on the cake.

I desperately want to win the Champions League.
It was designed solely to ensure that the old G14 clubs guaranteed, safeguarded and massively increased their incomes.
The UeFA establishment have done everything in their power to stop us; dodgy draws, the FFP, the cutting down of our playing squad, (the fine we could afford), the recent changes to the playing coefficients so our recent forays through the group stages count less than what the rags did a number of years ago, the abusive and very public insults from the likes of KHR, Neuer, Buffoon et al, the locking out of our innocent fans, whilst allowing the banned fans to attend, the higher fine for being a tad late than the fine given for the racist abuse suffered by our players.
I want to win it by a big margin and after the players receive their medals, watch our team walk past the trophy, leaving it as a worthless symbol to the UeFA's corruption, uncollected on its plinth.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

When Pep knocks it on the head at our place then so do I. It's now so openly bent only a genius would keep me still believing we can beat the officials.

Called it...hopefully
My next crazy prediction about him is that he will later manage the USA men's team or take on some similar roll as that would be a unique challenge if he was up for it.

He will leave when he wants, deal or not. Prety sure money isn't a big motivator - not now anyway!
That's the one thing at the back of my mind. This is a good as it gets. It'll be all downhill after Pep.
But then I have waited 50 years to this point!

He is so incredibly intense and he is so focused I dont think he is the type of manager who is going to stick around very long term. So the club have to start thinking about life after pep at some stage, if they are not already.
Hypothetically speaking IF he were to go who would replace him?
Wouldn't like to be looking for that guy...

I hope he stays about 8 years or so in total - long enough to set us on the right path with style of play, academy pipeline and reinforced club 'holistic' philosophy, but not so long that he dominates the club in the way that Ferguson did and Wenger is still doing. As long as we have a good succession plan in place all will be well and all the plans so far have been well thought-out and executed so I don't have any great fears about a massive drop-off after Pep leaves.
