Firstly Bear, why bury this in OT? It's football related (probably more so than in the Maine forum).

As for the question, I didn't know Wolves stepped out to it too, chelski have as far back as I remember though.

It's a bit like Z cars, Everton and watford both use, there are probably other tunes due to catchiness that lend themselves to the terrace used by mire than one club.

But there was a conversation on here about the same song a few weeks ago as well and then I youtubed it.

As a youngster , used to assist a DJ in manc for juvenile discos, and others, got to know such songs by heart , especially Johnnie Johnstone ... and a touch of velvet.

It's also sung by West Brom supporters. My missus is a baggie, and still sad about Cyrille Regis.

Harry J and the Allstars recorded it, she tells me. I used to confuse it with "Double Barrel" by Dave and Ansell Collins.
