I haven't actually seen today's presser but during that it was apparently said Laporte has a cold but is available for tomorrow.

Good, we don’t want him spreading it and missing a day or 2 is a better option. Maybe he’s not in peps first 11 plans for tues.

I'm with Crossie on this, no point training if you've got the sniffles, it'd just make it worse, spread to others.

Not sure it's an injury but no Yaya in the Basel squad. If he's not involved at Wigan then we may have seen the last of him.

And has anyone here tried flying with a head cold?! BOOM!!!

Also, wasn't there a spate some time back of sportspeople who were seemingly recovering from viral infections having heart attacks or something when exerting themselves? I've not heard anything about that recently. Maybe they had underlying heart conditions that would get identified nowadays.

There seems to be conflict in the camp about Pep pressuring Jesus for a premature return to training. Siren voices in Brazil apparently now being supported by the Bayern doctors he famously sacked.

while we all obviously want him back in the squad as he immediately makes us better we have to think long-term.
knees arent anything to mess around with--especially for a footballer. plus, he's got the WC on his mind as well.

he's on a long-term contract with us so we shouldnt be rushing him back this season just because we've got a slim chance at the quadruple.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

I have a Gut feeling all is not right with Jesus knee(Hope to God i am wrong). It is alright saying such an injury can leave you with a psychological problem that needs to be over come. Another way of looking at it. Its your Body, some times things just don’t feel right. You can’t actually put your finger on why that is. There can be no pain. or even symptoms. Yet your Body subconsciously tells your Brain, look something isn’t right here. Human Body is weird. Doctors tell you to listen to your body for good reason.

I remember reading Paul Lake (Lakey) said his knee never felt right after that operation with the dead Dudes donor tendon in the US.

it's fishy for sure - Guardian and Fail reporting delays in his expected return and citing Jesus' recent chat with Ronaldo. This has been picked up on the Kasseis site which regularly recycles the doping allegations etc we are familiar with on RAWK and the Cafe.

Could be that shitty flu that's doing the rounds. I had it and it's started off like a cold followed by six days in bed and learning to walk again.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.
