Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

This Week's Games | 10 - 12 Mar 18

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Mar 10, 2018 11:33 am

Well, what a weekend of glorious football, eh? We've had all the hype and now we approach the biggest game in the world. That's the one, 'The Battle for Second', as the Rags own website told their 6 million fans. Or the North West Derby, that great one that Taggart purred to the 2 clubs global fanbase, building it up for Sky's armchair fans before going on to pummel them put of sight. Oh what Derby's they were!

For me though, I prefer to think of them as the 'Also Rans', or, for some, 'The 'Istreee Derby', as for quite a while these haven't been able to truly challenge for a PL title. Even with a hand-up from the PL, none of them have really come close, the best being when the Dippers win it in April, only to be usurped the following month.

After the 'Worlds Biggest Game' nothing else matters and looking at the match-ups I can't seem to build any sort of interest. Maybe the Chelsea or Spurs game, how about you?

Sat 10 Mar

Rags v Dippers 1230 hrs
Everton v Brighton
Huddersfield v Swansea
Newcastle v Southampton

West Ham v Burnley
Chelsea v Palace 1730 hrs

Sun 11 Mar

Arsenal v Watford 1330 hrs
Bournemouth v Tottenham 1600 hrs

Mon 12 Mar

Stoke v Manchester City 2000 hrs

I want the dippers to humiliate the Munchens.

On a side note, I think I hate Monday football more than PeP..its bollocks not getting to see my beloved team on my luxury sofa with the golf course in the back ground.

Another cup of earl grey to steady the nerves.

A draw with multiple injuries and red cards will do for me.

I'll seccond that, with a couple of touchline bans for a fist fight between Kliperty and the 'Special' One.

Me neither, and the quicker they lose the better. I'm definitely rooting for the Dippers as they'll go above them as well.

It's OK, for the dippers to win, they'll shit themselves realising they could still win the title, After all they play Palace away on the 31st

oh well... if there ever was a doubt on that our outcome down the Kop was none but a momentary lapse of footballing reason, out of tiresome fixture congestion... here comes no less than Lionel shit Rashford to remind what average unbalanced shit dippers are.

It's gonna be a long way to Monday night me think

The dippers are awful in central midfield. Milne is a journeyman who works hard but has no pace or passing ability. Can is also slow and seemingly a want away. I can't even think what the third one does. That goal was so easy. Not sure VD has had much impact despite the World record £75m fee.

What a game, eh? Dippers look like bottling it but the reality is that the new Stoke have done them with 2 longball, flicked on and scored 2 goals.

Well played boys, such a classic!
