I'm of the mind, for getting it was a cow field and no protection from the feckin ref that it kind of got the monkey off the back, the quad was never going to be.... That said and done it's the FA Cup, the oldest competition in world of football and still holds more credence with me than UCL, sadly our 'owners' aren't of the same accord

much to agree on.
for the quad... Rome wasn't built in a day... and all that.
double is already overachieving from where last season ended. going to Ukraine on May end would be heart blowing.. and even my arrogant tourist self cannot dare to add a word to reaching a CL final.

now this is tricky, for someone real Manc might get genuinely offended by the reference.

but... shouldn't we consider to start a candle mourning series to support agent Maureen to stay in office?

A truly staggering appointment. Wont be long before he is among the favourites to loose a job he has barely started

If Hughes is appointed at Southampton, him, Pardew, Allardyce, Moyes, Hodgson and Pulis will have had a combined 24 spells managing the same 10 Premier League clubs in the last 15 years.

Seems British managers need to do well once in their career to be set for life. Just hopping from one Premier League club to the next, irrespective of past failures.

The clubs are Blackburn, Palace, Everton, Fulham, Newcastle, Stoke, Sunderland, WBA, West Ham and Southampton.

Point of note, the bottom 3 clubs are Tony Pulis last 3 teams!

I've got to say, but seeing this thread had been posted in again, and without seeing the news, I thought it might have been Conte who'd gone - yesterday's result basically consigns Chelsea to the Europa League next season, especially if we win the league vs. the Rags and want to take our foot off the pedal following the CL matches, with the first leg of the semis only being 10 days later.

The writing has been on the wall for months with regards to Conte, just a matter of when rather than if now. The majority of Chelsea fans love him and want him to stay, but they seemed resigned that he's a goner. Sacking managers every couple of years is such a weird way to run the club, but it seems to work for them! We're so damn lucky to have the owners that we have.

One must assume that is now it for Pardew in terms of managing a top flight team. If indeed there are Championship chairmen who are stupid enough to appoint him

It depends , sacking managers who HAVE to follow a certain style of play from previous managers would make it easier to sack them IMO.

RM and Barca never change their style no matter who they sack and that's probably why they remain 2 of the worlds best teams.

Thats what PeP is doing at City , drilling his style and making it the clubs philosophy from now and forever.Having said that , please dont let him go anywhere for the foreseeable.!!!

Imagine that Portuguese Prick turning up at our door (shudder ) , he would do what hes doing at the scum......flushing everything down the toilette.

Jack Butland on Stoke's relegation:

Jack Butland was in tears after Stoke’s relegation was confirmed by Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace. Tears of sadness but going by his comments after the match, tears of frustration too. “He inherited a squad where, unfortunately, there was ill‑discipline and players you cannot rely on,” he said, when asked about the manager, Paul Lambert. “I think the whole recruitment process needs looking at. There’s been transfers who aren’t even part of the squad for all kinds of reasons, whether it be discipline, lack of performance. Too many recent investments have been completely unused and that’s unacceptable. It’s been farcical really.” Butland said it was too early to discuss his future but there will be interest in one of the few Stoke players to look like they belong in the top flight. As for Stoke, the long road back starts now.

And Hughes has done this over and over and over and over again. And he keeps getting a job.
