Lawro & DC predictions v Spuds (A)

Postby Wonderwall » Fri Apr 13, 2018 11:57 am

Both Lawro and Merson are not predicting good things this week!
This week Lawro takes on comedian Elis James who is a Swansea fan and a total tit by the look of his comment!

Lawro says

Tottenham were not having a good spell when they got hammered 4-1 by City earlier in the season, but things are very different now.

I think City would take a draw after the week they have had. That will delay the title party a little longer, but they are still going to win the league - it is just a matter of time.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

Elis' prediction: Again, I am fascinated to see how City react to going out of the Champions League, and Tottenham are playing very well at the moment. City's season will be in tatters if they lose this game too. 2-1

FFS :| :o

Merson says:

I don't see how City pick themselves up. They look like they are out on their feet and the last place they want to be going is Tottenham.

They look tired and the manager has also tried to be clever a few times and changed things. Against Liverpool they needed to win by three goals and they had the best attacking right-back in the world playing in a back three. For me Sergio Aguero has to play as well.

Pep Guardiola sides have faded in the last few years. At Bayern Munich he lost in the semi-finals of the Champions League and with Man City last season they had a bad run towards the end. It's alright having the ball all the time but they are passing and moving, which is tiring. A lot of their players have played a lot of matches.

I think he got the team wrong at Everton the week before they played Liverpool. The team was too strong. The league was done, they should have rested everybody and if they lose then they lose. I think there have been a few bad decisions in the last month or so and that's where it has gone wrong.

They have been great but if they lose this game it has fizzled out a bit andthey haven't shown that real grit too many times this season to turn things around.
PAUL PREDICTS: 3-1 (18/1 with Sky Bet)

What the actual fuck is Merson babbling on about there?

Why would our season be in tatters if we lose this game?

A fair few people have said the same on here.

Oh yeah, to answer your question, it won't.

I'm not sure we've got the squad depth for it, to be honest, mate.

All 4 of these games were going to be tough, nevermind when you're screwed over the way we were, but it's the following games that we need to win and have everybody fit and ready to roll.

This weekend will be a bonus if we get anything out of it.

Got to agree with Mersie boy there. Playing for City with 80% possession and pass-pass-pass all game must be like driving the motorway all the way from London to Carlisle (no offence Carl). Who wouldn't fall asleep out of boredom? Much more interesting the route to the Cotswolds and up the Welsh coast then across to Tykeland and on to Gretna Green before the dibble catch on.

Sane hat trick, bullet header from Laporte and a cheeky Jesus goal then.

Fuck em and fuck em all. We are City we do things our way. So let's shut the fuckers up, give Spuds and spanking and then seal league week after.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?
