Unpopular opinion but I think Salah has a real claim to this. He’s dragged a bang average Liverpool Tran to top 4 and cl semis. Without him they’d be top 6 at best in my opinion.

Kdb has been a beast but he’s allowed an off day as we have so many other match winners. I even think Silva has been close to him anyway.
Tracking back is overrated.

Salah will just sneak it. Often happens that late season form is remembered better than early season form. To be honest both would be deserving winners in their own way.

What is now interesting is a lot of pundits are now talking up Sean Dyche for manager of the season

Surely a joke about Dyche? When will they learn every season one team unexpectedly does ‘okay’.

If Pep doesn’t win it after breaking all these records it’ll truely be a joke.

Oh wait, don’t I hate Pep?

I still remember when we won the league in 2012, Scott Parker was named the player of the year.

I still remember some journal spouting that Pardew will get it if he gets CL football, otherwise it should be ours. Pardew didn't make the top 4 but still got the award.

Salah can have it for all I care, this should spurn Kev to come back even more determined next season to prove the doubters why he's the best in the league. Im not sure Salah can replicate his current form next season. If our players or manager feel hard done then this should spur their hunger and desire to come back even stronger next season. I'm probably missing the point but I like to see the bigger picture.

I’m pretty sure as well that neither Aguero or Silva have been in any ‘team of the year’ sides.

It’s a bit weird, I’m not sure why a players religion means so much to people but this season I’ve not stopped seeing “who is your favourite muslim player?” polls or pictures of Ozil staring at his hands constantly all over Instagram.

I don't think it's religion alone. I don't think you really see sub-Saharan Muslim players' votes skewed due to their religion (Toure being a prime example). There probably is a small Asian/Arab Muslim effect, though.
