Hope he does well for them, at the very least he plays good football so that will be a tonic for them after Moyes.

I hope he does well. I like the man and have a lot of respect for him. However I do not really see him lasting 3 years at West Ham. Just cant see it working out.

I'm in London and an article on this in the Evening Standard (after the Emery and Kane stories of course), and a picture of him with Sullivan in his (Sullivan's) London flat, which is huge but looks a bit tasteless as you would expect, full of gold leaf etc.

Anyway, Manuel is promising attacking football and four or five new signings. He claims to be aiming for European qualification. Sullivan says he is the first WHAM manager to have a POL title on his CV.

The paper mentions Yaya as a target, mainly on the grounds of him liking Pellegrini it seems. Also Rondon from WBA.

I think he will be a good fit for them.

Good luck Manuel!

Was time to go when he did, but he helped turn us around swiftly after Mancini with some rather spectacular football in his first season with his 4-2-4.

Seems their fans are happy, and we know he will play attacking football, but heard the Football Weekly podcast call it "uninspired" which seems rather harsh.

His soft touch may worry those who wonder if that will replicate the issues they developed under Bilic, and could be an issue over time, but he did drop Hart which helped him improve. It was Yaya that was the player that I think our fans were most frustrated with under him, so would be an interesting reunion if that happens.

He can get them into Europa with the right signings...and this time we know he will be behind them (I always thought it was Txiki when he was with us).

I predict he will sign Shaqiri to get back together with Arnautovic.

Wish him all the best. Carried himself with the upmost class and dignity whilst with us and gave us one of our greatest ever seasons. I myself have nothing but admiration for him and truly hope he does well

You're right mate, but we all recall that criticism of Yaya from fans became louder the following two seasons and I believe some felt Pellegrini was responsible for enabling this, suspecting he was loathe to criticise Yaya's performance on and off the pitch.

I'm not even saying I agreed with this assessment, but this was the narrative from some as I remember.

Brilliant appointment by the Hammers. I'm surprised no-one has gone for Mancini to be honest.

This Charming Man will do wonders for them.
