really think Romero is that much better? ive never fancied him and thought that he's quite poor
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

But he is still their first choice and Caballero and the third choice have two caps between them. On the eve of a summer tournament that’s a big blow to any team

Argentina have been pretty poor during the Messi years in world cups. Aguero has not covered himself in glory either.

I think they don't have providers for the stellar attack they have. Banega is the only good one in their middle and he would not start at any top 6 teams. The others are semi okish.
Their chance is Sampaoli, which, imho, is their best coach since Passarella in 98 and remember they almost won it four years ago. I think Willy is better than Romero by a mile.

that is true. however, ive never really bought into caps unless youre young and/or inexperienced at the club level

I pointed out a few years back that a quarter of Aguero's international goals had come against Bolivia. Although that stat is no longer correct, it's still the case that more than half (56%) of his international goals have been scored in friendlies. In the same period of time, only 43% of Argentina's games have been friendlies.

There once was a Gay Caballero - but I think the meaning might have been different in them days
