I think this has been the first time I've heard him mention his name!

Nigeria are poor but the passing from us has been City like in some cases. Southgate has a young squad that he's worked with at the youth level so knows how we can play. The fact he's got 7 players from 2 teams who play 'real' football says how he wants to play.

Got to give him credit for that.

Interesting where he's playing Sterling, he may have come up with a masterstroke.

Obviously the finishing could be better but Sterling has been great. Smart movement in behind, close control, ability to best a man and always playing with his head up.

Shocking dive from Razza there. He’s much better than that

Interesting that they've just stated that Sterling's only stat is a yellow card. Does an assist not count anymore?

Shit dive though, I'm expecting him to get it large tomorrow.

Just about to post the same about that quote. You get the impression even if he scored Hoddle and Tyldesley would find fault

Diving in a friendly. The lad really doesn't do himself any favours sometimes. Still a good performance. Really worried their defence.

Does kane's head look improportioned with his body? Spuds players cant do anything wrong in the medias eyes. The messiah Rashford was usless but I suppose Jose destroyed his confidence. If the media stop hyping Kane and get off Raz's back we might get somewhere. We shouldn't rely on raz to get the goals, we need his pace to explore gaps and open space for goal machine kane. Dele needs to be more creative, the midfield need to improve

Did anybody think Sterling was the worst player on the pitch last night, or Alli equal second best?

I don't watch England, but if sterling was the worst player it would make sense after the week he's had.

That's it though, for me he was no way near the worst player. Considering it was a win for England and Sterling created chances, as well as setting Kane up for a goal, you'd think there'd be something good to say.

Looks like the Dipper-centric media hate for Sterling is now in full effect and we can now await the scapegoating of him, even if he scores a hatrick in the final.
