Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!
by Beefymcfc » Tue Apr 24, 2018 6:49 am
Well deserved and with all the hype we've been hearing about every other nomination I'm actually surprised a City player got an award.
Similar to the Dyche hype of late, all seems a bit contrived to ensure Pep doesn't get the call. Quite a few have said that Dyche should get it if he leapfrogs Arsene's Arsenal for the Europa spot, which they said about Pardew and Newcastle. Pardew failed but still got the accolade. Will the same happen again?
Anyway, forget all the Rag/Dipper media bullshit, we have a team of Champions, that's all we need to know.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".
The Future's Bright, The Future's Blue!!!

Either way, congratulations to Sane. He is a top player and will only improve. Raheem is perhaps unlucky but as they say
“RAHEEM STERLING, HE’S TOP OF THE LEAGUE”.
A winners medal will ease any misgivings he has and to be honest I’d be surprised if he had any and wasn’t genuinely thrilled for Sane to win it
Sure there was an interview last season where Sane said him and Sterling were good friends and he'd really helped him settle. Went on about them calling Yaya uncle etc, so sure Raz is really happy for him

Over Sterling ?????....Sterling deserved it and his fuckign STATS prove that...but hes not allowed to win as he left the Bindippers.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

They're very different players imo mate.
Sane hasn't been played as a striker or false 9 or any of that shit. He's an out an out winger. I wouldn't compare their stats alone.
Anyway, it's great to have two amazing players with so much to offer.

To be eligible for Young POTY you have to be aged 23 or under at the start of the season, Kane’s birthday was 28 July 1993, so he just qualified, but won’t again.

So was he not 24?
Is the start of the season not the Charity Shield?

Season starts 1st July apparently, when all the new contracts date from.

Sané rarely plays well for Deutschland, by all accounts. I just hope he plays next season angry, rather than with his bottom lip going.
