so we start and end with an away game, have leicester and saints away over xmas before liverpool on NYD
utd start and end with a home game, and get hudderfield and bournemouth at home before an away trip to newcastle over xmas.
yeah seems fair, no influence at all.

We are first game for Emery - I suppose he has the consolation it is at home and all the other home games will be easier!
I'm hoping to get to Bournemouth and Brighton this year, the only PL grounds I have yet to visit (been to all the promoted clubs). Bournemouth looks okay but could be struggling for a ticket for Brighton if there is anything on that game.

OT - can't remember the last time two of the big teams met on the opening day. Did they get rid of that old system where they used to be kept apart?
Either way, I'm delighted with that. What an opener .
Bring it on.

We shouldn't fear anyone home or away. I believe we'll turn the arseholes over. We have a solid nucleus and know how to win mentality. Worst case scenario we'll come away with a draw, first few games tend to be cagey until we build momentum. For the record Emery has never beaten Pep.

Yep, third year on the trot that City fans will be travelling for both fixtures over Christmas, seems very fair.

However on the flip side, they home first and last game, they arer home both games between Xmas and new year and have a piss easy run in on paper.

In 10 meetings with Guardiola, Emery won none, drew four and lost six, at a rate of 0.4 points per game

Nice to see that we are away for the start and end with 2 away Christmas fixtures as well. That means the Rags get the opposite.
Looks a harder start to the season but a better run in. They mustn't want the league sewn up by Christmas this year

Good old sky. City have the easiest start apparently.
"We have ranked the 20 Premier League sides' first six games of the season in order of difficulty based on last season's finishing positions, with newly-promoted Wolves, Cardiff and Fulham taking 18th, 19th and 20th respectively.
The stats say Wolves have the trickiest start, with games against Manchester City and Manchester United included in their first six games, while Pep Guardiola's champions have the easiest, facing all three of the newly-promoted sides after their curtain-raiser against Arsenal"

but we all know ( maybe Sky don't ) that the worst time to face a newly promoted side is very early in the season when they are full of belief and running.

Away to the mid table also rans in the first game, it could be a lot worse.
Overall the fixtures aren't too bad.
No matter what way they are drawn there would be always something for some to complain about.

the schedule through October is generally favorable. not sure what the CL schedule is around the Liverpool & Spurs matches in October but it still looks good.
Soton away 2 days before Liverpool home on NYD isnt a horrible matchup if the Saints are anything like they were last season...although if i remember correctly they did make it difficult for us.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.
