Let there be (more) light:

http://www.insideworldfootball.com/2018 ... -lighting/

June 20 – Manchester City has renewed its regional partnership with Chinese firm PAK Lighting who are the club’s Official Lighting Partner in the country.

The initial deal with PAK Lighting was for two years with this renewal also understood to be for a similar term. No value for the deal was given.

PAK Lighting have undertaken a number fan engagement events in China and at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. These include match screening events in China, engaging with supporters’ clubs and Cityzens members throughout the country.

During City’s pre-season tour of China in July 2016, PAK Lighting used City players for a TV commercial that has been a focus of its marketing campaign since. PAK Lighting’s Manchester City co-branded materials can also be seen across China’s busiest airports and major cities.

PAK Lighting has ambition to grow internationally and has been using its Man City sponsorship to build its profile. Zhang Yutao, Chief Executive Officer at PAK Lighting, commented: “PAK Lighting relies on Manchester City’s unprecedent influence to further grow the brand’s reputation and credibility overseas and develop the distribution channels, which supported the brand’s successful IPO in 2017, and will help PAK’s growth into a global lighting brand.

“In the meantime, Manchester City will also expand the reach in China with PAK Lighting’s influence in the local market.”

The deal with PAK Lighting for Man City has been an important collaboration for the club in terms of moulding its own local growth strategy. Damian Willoughby, senior vice president of partnerships at City Football Group, emphased PAK Lighting’s input to “help guide our expansion in China.”

good piece from the other place

"He'll get tired an take his money elsewhere"
"Your club are not building for the future by buying big names"
"There's no youth structure or chance for players from Manchester."
"You have no history and will make none."
"Emptyhad."
"Playing unfair with FFP"

We've had news articles slamming us, praising us, seeing our vision, reports on our rise, forums about us killing chances for youth players, anything and everything that could have been written, has been inscribed or typed somewhere or other.

Manchester City ruining football since 2008.

So, we've barely had ten years of leadership by ADUG/CFG and the results to date have been impressive. We've gone places. There are more things than the below, I'm sure - and some things we haven't directly done but have been heavily influenced by MCFC's presence in East Manchester. Is there anything else in the timeline of a wonderful few years that deserves inclusion?

1/9/2008: Abu Dhabi Utd Group takeover completed. A partnership with the Right to Dream Academy which allows them to cherry-pick the best talent from the academy once players graduate. Stories have circulated that City bought the academy and own it outright, though if this is true it has never been publicised.

1/9/08: Transfer deadline spectacular.

May 2009: Etihad sponsors MCFC. Nike-owned Umbro stepped in as brand supplier for the club's kits. Umbro instantly deliver three well-designed kits.

4/6/09: City announce ten year partnership with kit suplier Umbro. Umbro, once of the Humphreys brothers ownership, maintains a massive link with City once again. Like the brothers who followed MCFC, City "have a Manchester brand for a Manchester team."

5/6/09: City fans help launch the new kits. Bitter & Blue as well as Blue Moon forum get in n the action. Kid British feature at the kit launch. Umbro's take on Blue moon T-shirts appear. Posters and banners appear all over to annouce the new shirts.

15/6/09: Umbro reconnect with fans and push wide open the historic club crest debate.

July 2009: The notorious "Welcome to Manchester" banner greets Carlos Tevez's arrival to England's second city. ("Not in my lifetime.")

16/7/09: The Arndale City Store relaunches.

17/7/09: Live from City gig at Eastland's car park. A free gig for fans to launch City's new kits.

18/7/09: The Arndale City Store relaunches. The refit is bold and engaging.

18/8/09: Etihad Stadium increase plans revealed.

2010: Under the terms of their agreement, Sporting Portugal signed with Manchester City a deal that they had previously had with Manchester United, to grant City first option on their players, specifically with a view to their youth talent.

Watch anyone? £199 and it's yours. Me I never use them but I think they can still be bought at markets for a fiver and tell the same time!

https://huddled.co.uk/2018/07/bellagio- ... r-city-fc/

WATCH and luxury gift manufacturer Bellagio Europe (‘Bellagio’) has secured an exclusive three year worldwide licensing deal with Manchester City and the very first edition is to produce the official Premiership Winners’ collectable timepiece.

Bellagio, based near Knutsford, Cheshire, launched the Winners Watches on 14th May 2018, day of the victory parade in Manchester; which will retail at £239 in all stainless steel and £199 with a dark blue leather strap, making this unique and collectable timepieces affordable to large numbers of City fans worldwide.

Bellagio is offering City Season card holders to receive an exclusive £50 discount (only one per cardholder permitted). All season ticket holders have to do is email info@bellagio-europe.com with their season ticket details to receive their unique £50 discount code.

The Manchester City crest adorns the watch face and is surrounded by the wording ‘Premier League Champions’. A special custom-made 2D cast replica Premier League Trophy and a large number ‘3’ that signifies three Premiership title wins, are raised on the dial for a luxury finish.

The limited-edition Premiership Champions watch is 44mm in diameter and is powered by a precision quartz movement. The hands are luminous, and the casing and strap are made from solid stainless steel, or a choice of a high-quality leather strap. The watch will arrive in a handsome Manchester City blue presentation case.

Only 2,018 of each style will ever be made world-wide, and each is serially numbered. The watch comes with a two-year unlimited manufacturer’s warranty.

Bellagio founder Mikey Cohen is the foremost designer in the world of collectable and winners’ watches for sporting clubs and music artists. Mikey has designed winners’ collectable timepieces for many English and Scottish Premiership Champions, European Champions and FA Cup winners for over 20 years.

Since 2004, Mikey has designed winners watches for teams including Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Celtic, Rangers, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. His designs include a History of Manchester United watch, History of Liverpool FC Watch, Celtic Lisbon Lions 50 years Anniversary watch, Spurs ‘End of White Hart Lane’ watch, and The Who 50th Anniversary.

Mikey says: “Where there is a celebration to be had and a collectable watch produced, it is more than likely this has been designed by me.”

Bellagio’s high-quality, precision football watches are sold direct to fans all over the world, via social media and advertising campaigns through Bellagio-Europe and its website www.winnerswatches.co.uk.

Mikey says: “Our aim to is look after the fans and give them the service they deserve. Our products not only look good, it is something they can cherish forever and enjoy.

“My first football match was being taken to Maine Road at the age of five in 1978, and it was one of my proudest moments when I designed the 2011/12 Premiership Champions watch for the Blues. So to have designed the official champions watch for City’s third Premiership win is a great honour.”

The company’s main brands Bellagio and Paccioni are sold online via third party channels or direct for a bespoke service. Celebrities who own timepieces designed by Mikey, include Sugar Ray Leonard, Rio Ferdinand, Barry Gibb, Richard Fleeshman, Tom Jones, Usher, Justin Timberlake’s TN Kids Band and many more.

July 2009: The notorious "Welcome to Manchester" banner greets Carlos Tevez's arrival to England's second city. ("Not in my lifetime.")
