Guessing we all (I'm generalising) feel the same way by now in that we dodged a bullet with the Sanchez signing.

Wrong end of 20s, wasn't all that great last season and imagine the shit we would get if he was playing for City and this happened.

Fantastic, so at scouse stadium you can make a photo along side a mock-up of Salah holding the Champions Cup. Looks like they won it after all

I don‘t have a problem with Salad, but i reckon he‘ll be nailed , week in week out, now that the PL teams know who is is.

I'm certain of it, since I have him as captainbin my Fantasy team ...

But in all honesty, wouldn't the rest of the PL be clued up already by January/February last season?

i don’t know how may games he played in the first half, but he kept on baggin’ ‘em, rather like a snowball effect. I really don’t think he will be given the space this season.

Seems appalling to me that a player can come out and say we must sign BIG if we are to compete which effectively means what we have isn't good enough. Must be great for team morale.

They currently have 5 international center halves in the squad and that's the area which desperately needs strengthening we keep hearing. In reality maybe all they need is a top class coach.

The Guardian in their round-up of the days news have this lovely summary:-

It sounds like Manchester United have been played like a fiddle by Diego Godin and his agent. The timeline of this curious story, according to Sky, started with United being approached by Godin’s agent last week expressing the player’s desire to play at Old Trafford, United immediately making contact with Atletico with a generous offer, Atletico responding to the possibility of losing the Uruguayan by offering him a massive bumper new contract, and Godin chuckling heartily to himself as he put pen to paper.

Fuck me, Sky trying to get Maureen and the Rags back in the limelight. Apparently the Rags were in for Verane for £100 million but somehow failed to make a bid or even approach Real for talks. And now Maureen loves his team, even though he's slagged the majority off prior to a competitive game being played.

The media trying to keep the paying fans happy, but what about the rest of us? Personally I like to see the soft cunts suffer!

Cunts!

Looks like all the excuses are coming out and Woodward is ready to throw Maureen under his own bus. The fact that they said they can spend big on top class players but not actually put a bid in for any of them says it all. And if Maureen was offered that sort of opportunity then surely he'd take it, rather than going for Jerome fucking Boateng!

All seems a bit fishy to me, seems very tit-for-tat between Maureen and Woodward, played out in the public.

What would be funny is if they sell the likes of Pogba whilst unable to bring anybody else in.

About halfway down first page there’s a post with about five or six players who are out of contract next summer. Shaw, Young, Jones, Mata, Herrera, Smalling and possibly others could all leave for nothing next summer. That’s at least £150M just to replace two fullbacks, two centre halves and two midfielders. That’s without actually increasing the size and strength of their squad. This could be a defining season for them. The wheel nuts on Mourinho’s bus are very loose and it won’t take much for them to fall off. This could be the best season to be a City fan in a while. We further increase the gap on our rivals whilst the rags lurch from one disaster to another.

Lovely, simply lovely

NB £150m for six players? More like £300m+ these days and clubs will see how desperate they will have become, I doubt there will be many boyhood supporters getting their dream signing.
