I feel deflated - a golden opp spurned - only ourselves to blame for letting Marez take it

Just don't see how Mahrez was so good at Leicester. Big fish in a small pond perhaps, but they won the title. Thought after his goals he'd get up to speed, but not happening for him yet. Still think it will.

Happy with the result though, absolutely nothing about the dippers makes me think they'll beat us to the Premiership.

As a few already have said Merlin needed to step in there .

As for Mahrez, well Pep , admit you fcuked up and consign him to the heap. To think he had a full game today and did absolutely fcuk all

Pep instructed Mahrez to take it. He gave Mendy the instructions who ran over and told Mahrez who then went and told Jesus who was ready to take the pen.

Pep needs to sort the Peno taker shit out. Mahrez shit record, Gabi shit record. What about Bernado DS or Sane taking them if Sergio or Raz are off.

but a point here is better then we have done for years

I believe the instruction for Mahrez to take it came from the bench, in other words, Pep.

What brings you to the conclusion that he was good at Leicester?

My feelings too. Mentioned before the game I’d take a draw and happy with that.

Top of the league going into the international break and a point up on last season against the Dippers.

60mil on one the walking definition of a one trick pony. Should've been taken off before Sterling, I really am struggling to see how this fucking waste man cost us so much. Shouldn't even be ahead of Foden and Diaz.

Like I predicted we'd get a result here, we didn't have to win, just get something, dont get me wrong we should have won if it wasnt for that cocked up missed penalty, but shit happens, we roll on. the ominous on them to win at home, dont know why the fuckers are giddy about the draw.

This proves we are going to retain the title, we are not playing our best but getting results. Im happy but not ecstatic, got my head screwed on looking at the bigger pic.

Mahrez is a very good player but shouldn’t be taking penalties.

Diaz - can we blame he when he goes? Or Sancho for doing one? We're bringing in a player to stop them getting game time that's not as good as them.

We were clearly the better team, and I think 1-0 would have been a fair result.
Unlike some others, I'm really pissed off with the draw, we could have finally got the monkey off our back.

Before the game I’d have taken 0-0.

There were lots of positives. We played much better than we usually do at Anfield. Bernardo in particular was superb. The defence was solid although Mendy is still a liability.

But we blew a fantastic chance to get the win. We looked amateur when it wasn’t clear who would take the penalty and then Mahrez showed no composure whatsoever.

Despite that, we are top of the league and have got our hardest game of the season out of the way. After 8 games we are top and have played Arsenal and Liverpool away. Things overall are looking good.

Only concern is Pep’s clear preference for Mendy over Sane. Sane has been superb while Mendy was injured and didn’t deserve to be dropped today.

I hear ya man, it's a fucking travesty that this cunt is preventing Diaz from getting the chance he deserves. I'm really struggling to see what he adds to our play.

I'd love to know what he's good at. People were saying 4-5 games ago that he's a good player. It's not about bedding in. He's fuckin shit!
