MotM v Dippers

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Oct 07, 2018 5:27 pm

Hard to choose but I thought Sergio put in a real shift and Big Dave was everywhere. However, Bernardo just gets it for me, a ready replacement for the Magician.

Saying that, I should give more credit to our defensive players, they stopped the thieving bastards from scoring.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Bernard. Should be able to hang a player after the match as well. Can that be brought in?

Ederson was unreal for a keeper in possession. Critical to our game plan

Bernardo for me.

He’s a phenomenal footballer.

As mentioned above, he’s our long term replacement for Dave.

Bernado. Classy player, just glides past players in a similar vein to what Messi does

Has to be one of the center backs and I went for Laporte just. I am surprised that Bernado is getting quite as much love today. I love him to bits and thought he played very well but I also thought he gave the ball away or lost it more than I think I have ever seen him.

some of the shite being spouted on here is laughable tonight
we have downgraded in mendy and mahrez and have silva and fern coming towards the end of their prime. the signings have to be looked at. mahrez doesn't deserve to start another game for a long, long time and zink / delph have to play over mendy.

On a day that keeping a clean sheet really made a difference, I gave it to Laporte.

Laporte, Fernandinho (massive second half after a shaky start) and Bernie were my top three.

Have it to I'm Erik in the end.

Conversely i am surprised (at the time of writing) that fernandinho didnt get a vote. That said i went for bernado as his positives hugely outweighed his negatives and he carried a threat evertime he went forward.

Lots of solid performances sticking to a rigid team plan of not conceding a goal at Anfield . Laporte just shades it for me !
Not really here

Mahrez for me. Thought he played well and when he's reading this later it will be a nice confidence boost for the bloke.
