MotM v Shakhtar

Postby Beefymcfc » Wed Nov 07, 2018 10:54 pm

What a game, not a clue who to pick. Jesus gets a hatrick but Fernandinho is so impressive. Even Zinchencko, for such a young player, with hardly any game time, manages to come in and play as of he's always been there.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Hard to decide between Mahrez and Raheem, both were excellent.

I went stones for having us so cool and organized at the back. Kinda hard to pick today nobody played poorly and supreme team effort.

Fern did what Fern does every game, which is why he'd always be 1st name on my team sheet. However, both Stirling and Mahrez were superb tonight, stand-outs among another fantastic team performance. Mahrez just shaded it for me as he's suddenly realised he has a right foot that's for more than standing on! :D

I seem to have Sterling as default MotM this season.

Almost the whole team could be voted for the performance was that good.....again

But another brilliant performance by Fern, this man was everywhere, breaking up play, there for the short pass and the odd “Dark Art” foul with a smile lol. Just a fantastic player

Well done the team, well done Pep. CTID

Razza for me. Despite the deliberate kicking of the grass when he was about to score (Who wouldn't?)

His legs are not gone but he is 33.

Do you think he can go the whole season starting nearly all league and champions league games?

No, I don't think that and wouldn't say something like that. At the same time his legs are far from gone like people were suggesting.

There was no need for him to play last night. I just think we should be managing him better. Still a long way to go and we will need him.

I do. I think the guy is a warrior a bit Zabbaesque in the fact he will continue to do his shift and give everything on the pitch. Think it will be the last season he plays most games though and a position we will struggle to get cover for. The guys a hero who goes about his business in such an effective way.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Looks to me that he’s gonna get the David Silva 60 min treatment until we get cover for now. Better than losing the midfield early, but not a viable long term option.
