Bit early to say that.
I didn't say it's going to be the difference. I said we could have done with it going in. Their first loss of the season. Wind out of their sails. Teams knowing they can actually lose when they come up against them. A bit of breathing space for us going in to Christmas

This sort of win will give the dippers a massive boost. A 0-0 and the fact that they didn’t play all that well and with a gap of 5 points and the pressure really builds as they will be away next game and they know anything but a win and it’s likely the gap extends and they are looking over their shoulder at third and fourth instead at us in first.

This.
I'll be gobsmacked if they are still within two points when they visit us. They haven't got the quality in the squad to cope with two games a week for the next month and the last fixture any team would want after the busy festive period is us at the Etihad.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Exactly. We’ve been there and done it three times. We know how to handle pressure. The dippers don’t.

On the other hand we might get complacent with 5 point lead, maybe their pressure is pushing us on. I can see us building a gap around January time, we have the expereince and know how to sustain a title push

We didn't get complacent last year - we have chelsea next week...could be a draw that match.

Bit worried that despite them clearly being inferior to us they are still only 2 points behind.

We will worry about Watford first. At least we will have 24 hours on Chelsea who play Wednesday.

The thing it would had been great for us to be 4 points ahead before Watford and Chelsea, two difficult away games.

no it wasn’t
accept the fact that it was a horrible, freak goal and move on.

I'm confident we will retain the title, not as confident as Last season. It will be alot closer than last season. Saturday's game showed we can grind out results too. I will not look past Watford to think about Chelsea, one game at a time

Such a pity Pickford screwed up, but I'm looking on the bright side, another one goal advantage on GD this weekend to add pressure to the scousers, its increasing every week, whatever they do.

I feel sorry for the dippers, it’s like getting a smell of the knickers but you cannot remove them, in other words so near, but so far away.
We will beat them no worries
