sorry we were shit.

No we were not.

Yesterdays game was a great game to watch.

Chelsea came up with two fairly average goals and against the run of play.

Nevertheless, a great game to watch .

Yawn, a couple of chances we maybe should've done better with but some great last ditch blocks too. Finishing generally can still improve no doubt, we haven't hit last seasons levels which were excellent.

chelsea had one chance in the first 45 mins pal....

One chance with little to no pressure on the scorer because we were dozing, everything we did was hurried because they defended properly.

The defending for the first goal was shite from start to finish. Delph gave his man too much space, Walker let Willian go, the clearance was shite and Sané didn't stick with Kante. Completely unavoidable. Sometimes we forget the basics in defence, possibly because we don't have much of it to do.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

This however was a shit day at the office.

I got to say that I'm quite impressed by how they've racked up the points in the last three games and still rotating the squad. OK, they got lucky at Everton, but a win's a win.

They had a lot of good fortune yesterday too. Wilson missing before a ball was kicked. Salah offside for the first, deflection for the second and a freaky og that could have gone anywhere for the third.

Maybe this defeat will serve us well, we needed a kick up the back side, I suppose we were getting complacent. To be one point behind with the injuries we had, I'll take it. This defeat hurts but we got to see the bigger picture, I'm glad we didn't risk Kun and KDB for one match. The pressure is on dippers now to hold on into that lead.

Still, they've rested a lot of key players and still got nine points.

rewatch that first half and count how many defensive mistakes chelsea made or we forced them into.
you’re as bad as the press saying we’ve been found out. we were 95% there for the first 44 mins, it was just a finish that was lacking.
this site is full of fucking morons at times.

Can’t have it both ways Nidge.
We were 95% there first half and yet two posts after you say we were shite.

Shite second half perhaps?

FWIW I think I agree with you.
First half we were quite good but we really needed to score first in thst game.
It was always going to be difficult to break through a packed Defence but we were getting there.
Personally I was disappointed that we didn’t have any real shots from cutbacks similar to tgeir goal.
Their keeper wasn’t tested and I’m not so sure he was that great.

Once they scored we were rocked on our heals. Silva was obviously subdued by possible injury and we didn’t control midfield with much confidence. Second half we definitely turned to shit.

Personally I put it down to the substitutions as much as anything.

I’ve already outlined my opinion of what Mahrez does to our shape. Some don’t agree. That’s fair enough.
At least Sterling will attempt going outside his man, which is unpredictable but they just double up on him because they know the far wing is safe.

We missed a striker to pull their CB’s out of shape. Jesus tries but unfortunately he can’t score ATM and the limited chances he gets due to how easy it is to defend our wings with Mahrez, doesn’t help.

Second half was a walk in the park for Chelsea and I hope Pep learns, because it would be good enough against 80% of the league but Chelsea are in the other 20%.

We are nowhere near winning in Europe if you ask me even with a full team. I don’t actually think we’ll be allowed near a final to test that.

No, it isn't. Chance creation was the issue in that match. We created nothing in the second half. Not good enough.

That game was screaming out for DeBruyne, for that moment of magic that he so often produces. It was a matter of time really before his injuries caught up with us, we've done remarkably well without him up to now.

The only great chance we created was the one for Sterling but he snatched at it on his weaker foot, the rest of the chances ( 3 in total) in the first half were decent but Chelsea defended their box very well.

it’s all my fault
I didn’t think we were shit btw... we were fucking excellent in the first half and, much like the wolves game, should have been ahead and in control going into the break. all this talk of a chelsea masterclass is bollocks. they were shit, or we made them look shit, in the first half. we beat ourselves...

Cant be arsed reading back the thread , guess the usual suspects are bang at it ? We wernt great to be fair but had to score the first goal in a tight game v the chavs , we fucked up a couple of sitters first half and I felt our chance had gone to win the game missing the firepower of Aguero and KDB . I also felt the chavs got a tad lucky with actually scoring two goals , they were poor a very poor chav side . Some you win some you lose we will come back stronger , let the scouse cunts have their 5 minutes of glory the long haul is going to be epic ! Btw loads of berliners follow city in the bar I watched the game was a real eye opener , Leroy Sane is cult status over there and the turk community are football crazy , Ilkay is king ! I even had a convo with a Turkish taxi driver who drove us to the Blarney Irish pub Berlin and after I mentioned I was a city fan he said ........ " top man , I fucking hate United" ! EPIC !  8-)
Not really here
