He's next development stage is building his upper body strength, he has the skills, vision but needs strength to hold the ball better without being knocked off easily. It took Silva a whole year to adapt to the premier league by working on his upper stength. It might take another 2 years before Foden becomes regural first teamer.

wtf are you two on about ?
such rubbish . Foden did well tonight. Leave it at that , two more years ? he was on the same wavelength as Kev and didn't look out of place at all.

I concur.

I said he's not ready for first team on regural basis, at no point said he's not good enough to make it in the near future. I didnt say he played crap today, He's still developing and not quite ready to lead the line. That's my honest opinion.

Strangest penno shootout I can remember. Look at who took the LC pennos

McGuire
Fuchs
Madisson
Soyoncu

That's their 2 CBs, 1FB and a CM. Where were their attacking players??

Carl bang on tonight about Diaz , never easy for a young player though . We have a massive problem at left back , Zinchenko AWOL for their goal yet again . Muric looks the real deal , passes out from the back cool as you like and saves a few ! Massive upgrade on Bravo and still very young awesome prospect . Foden did well , massive engine on him which bodes well for the future and agree he needs some more upper body strength , sure the club will be working on that the next 2 - 3 years he still very young , exceptional talent ! Oh and great to have Ginger Kev back another couple of games and he will be back up to full speed same with Aguero .
Not really here

What a goal that was from KDBeezy.

Oh right, almost forgot...sell Sterling, Mahrez and Diaz as they're all clearly worthless :)

Diaz 10m and goodbye. Be exactly the same when he's 26

Agree with some that Foden and Garcia can probably play most games now if needed

No issue with Diaz leaving. Unfortunately i have never been even slightly impressed by him in any appearance he's made.
He looks like all he does is run run around frantically with no real direction or purpose.

And spends a large amount of time on his arse after running into people or tying his feet up.

I forgot the goalie. He looks better than Bravo at least.

Truly surprised at Leicester and their side. No danger of relegation and comfortable mid table. A home tie against a side who they know aren't going to be full strength and one game from the semi finals. They deserve to go out tonight for this reason alone

In fairness to them, they're also 3 points off 7th in the league, which almost certainly gives them a European place (and considerably more prize money than the £100,000 for winning the League Cup), providing Bournemouth don't win it (as Burton can't take up a European place, being in the third tier, I think).

I imagine there is some sort of league finish incentive in Puels contract, whilst there is probably no mention of the League Cup. A top 10 finish and he keeps his job. A league cup final defeat and 11th and he probably gets the sack. He's been there before.

watched the game again this morning and more than happy with the win and also quite happy with the performance.
I have seen plenty saying we were good first half and poor in the 2nd but realistically in that 2nd half the only yeam who looked like scoring a 2nd was City.

We had the breaks and opportunities and whilst we could always concede from a set piece they didn't really threaten.Muric had very little to which was a testament to the whole team and the way they were organised and played.

Nobody really stood out for me apart from Garcia who was composure and quality throughout. Even Zinchenko ,despite his falling asleep to let them in for the goal, overall had a good game. Foden fairly quiet but ok as he grew into the game as well. KDB feeling his way back , some good moments , one brilliant but some duff moments too. Aguero 100% feeling his way back after injury but we are used to that.

Stones looked good in the pivot role even if a bit safe. Diaz had a chance again and didn't really take it despite plenty of effort. Mahrez should have been a matchwinner but fluffed it.

Great for Muric. The lad is a beast and a confident one which shone through. Probably out on loan next season but he is one for the future at a good level.
