Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I think for a player that just turned 17 and had never played a minute of senior football in his life that we probably couldn't have demanded much more,
we apparently have a first refusal clause and I've also seen conflicting reports on a sell on clause of 15%, if that's true we've done ok and I'm not sure we could've done much better, especially when you consider the alternative was him running down his contract.
Judging by our previous transfers I don't believe that for one minute.

The first refusal has been confirmed by Dortmund's sporting director.

That's great. Sell him for 8 million and buy him back for 80 million when he could have been sent out on loan. Typical City.

Could've been sent on loan? Where's that come from? Was there a loan offer on the table, was Sancho willing to go on loan?

Clubs send players on loan. See Roberts etc. It's not a new concept.
There was a queue of clubs willing to buy him. You don't think they'd also have taken him on loan?

Players have to be willing, see Diaz.

If, as a club and a manager, you can't convince a 17 year old that they're in your plans and that going out on loa. May be best there's something wrong.

Yep, reports suggested that the club wanted to loan him out in the summer, allegedly there was an offer from Girona and no, Diaz reportedly wasn't willing.

Stefan Effenberg was one of my all time favourite players. The daily fail said we'd officially signed him back in the day. I'm still waiting to see him in a City shirt

Cardiff pull one back through a very soft penalty. Not a bad game as it happens.
