Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Not much to report, but enjoy anyway...
COME ON CITY!!!
Referee: Michael Dean
Assistant Referees: Ian Hussin and Darren Cann
VAR: Paul Tierney
Fourth Official : Lee Mason
AVAR: Constantine Hatzidakis
Team Selection
Collins
Akins Brayford Buxton Turner Hutchinson
Quinn
HarnessFraser Allen
Boyce
And the rest…
Currently City 1 Palace 3 in the Prem fixture…They are they running into a sticky patch, will it last?
No,
Losing to us could be the final straw for Pep and cost him his job!! …Lol
If City rest the players playing today, and play the ones they've rested today vs us on Wednesday we'll be up against
Kompany
Aguero
Sane
Laporte
Bernado Silva
David Silva
So it should be easy!
City have just beaten Rotherham 7-0
They were just warming up then and taking it easy?
It would be great if we could at least score a goal at the Etihad. I remember at Old Trafford last season the cheer when Lloyd Dyer scored a consolation.
just got to hope we can keep it to a respectable scoreline so the 2nd leg has a bit of interest in it. anything less than a 3-0 defeat i reckon is a good result.
Obviously i'd be over the moon if we nicked it 1-0!
Mike Dean is the ref. Not afraid to send off City players.
Hope they remember Nige pulled on the Sky Blue shirt for them and go easy on his team…I hope we come away with something we can take into the second leg with some sort of hope of still being in the tie.
A real charm offensive by City at the mo. All well done. Just wonder if a City youngster might come our way to top it all.
I can't say I've been overly impressed with the marketing of the event on all sides though, and it's a shame that City are at home first - if it was at the Pirelli first I think it might have been more of a game. We will see. Hoping Pep plays a strong team, and that Brewers put up more of a show than Rotherham did at the weekend! At least trying the occasional attack would be nice, and we're not always particularly strong at the back.

I usually treat my body like a temple. Last night I treated mine like a whorehouse above a liquor store next to a motherfucking Taco Bell.

Cheers CM
Yes we do remember Nige pulled on the Sky Blue jersey. And we also remember what a shithouse he was as well. So no, we won't feel sorry for the cunt and take it easy

I find that decision strange. In the scenario that the goalie stops playing because the flag goes up is Kane allowed to continue through and score just in case he’s onside?

But he didn't stop, he continued. Also did Kane.
If Kane continued and scored, without Kepa doing anything, just looking, it would had been allowed.

But the ref blew up for offside?

I stand corrected. Just rewound and he didn’t blow immediately. I retract my statement

Not sure, I am inclined to say no because Kepa did not stop. But the linesman was up with his flag.
What is curious is why didn't Oliver go and check the screen?

Keep this how it is and Chelsea have a real chance of going through. Personally, I'd prefer to play Spurs in a one off, if we beat Burton.

I heard something the other day where the ref's are dissuaded from going to the monitor. Can't blame them, it looks totally wrong from a televised pov.

I’d go for Chelsea myself. It’s a home game for spuds. Chelsea rely on Hazard and haven’t got much in the way of forwards. Though beating spuds at Wembley would be sweet

Going on form, mate, then it has to be Spurs. However. I don't really give a fuck as long as we beat them

Good to see Kepa go across to Kane and tell him he's a cheating cunt.

This is the first time I am seeing when he ref is not going at the screen. It means that the decision was based only from the VAR, basically he took his hands of the decision. A bit cowardish, to be fair.
And btw, Spurs are not due to move on their new stadium before the final?

Did VAR show Kane's marks for presentation ?

What it means is that the off-field official now has the final say, which I think is wrong. The way they are working it opens it up to further manipulation, changing decisions that have no need to be changed?
I'm all in favour of helping the refs but also understand that VAR will also enhance the production, which is what Sky will score.
