Come on City

It’s a semi final after all. Said it before and will continue saying it, you can NEVER have too many of these games.

Hot favourites both to win tonight and to reach the final. Let’s put it to bed tonight then take it easy in the second leg

I wouldve had Danilo for Walker and Foden for Silva but that's okay.
Hope we smash them in this leg so the second is a dead rubber we can rotate in

Agree. In the week we sold one of the Academy’s brightest prospects, in part because of the lack of game time, to not have him start in a game that, let’s be honest we should win comfortably, doesn’t send out a great message

It's baffling ok he played Sunday but at his age he needs as much game time as possible.

I don't agree

Are we saying that we have already pissed it to the final and Silva or De Bruyne should be left out?

Pep has picked a side to win the tie tonight that includes Muric and Garcia. It's a semi final and I'm good with that

Never assume you’re gonna piss a game, especially a cup semi final. But, we will face better teams than Burton in probably every game for the rest of the season. On paper. Every week we are told by Pep that Foden is the future of the club. I know he is only 18 and I’m not for a minute advocating him start a lot of games especially in the PL and CL. But a home game against third tier opposition? What age do we trust him? Next season?

Maybe there is a plan for Silva to get match fitness as he looked rusty v the dippers and to hopefully get a half time lead so Foden can get a run out second half. Time will tell. But I am disappointed not to see him

Both starting regularly for Cesspool at age 17/18 ; both finished as Premier league strikers at 28

I think Foden has a big future here. But sometimes we lose sense of priority. Our priority should be City, not the Phil Foden football career society,.

I'm taking it as a sign that he's in contention to start on Monday.
