In the champions League final Xavi covered more ground than any Barca player..

"Xavi also covered a lot of distance on the pitch – 80.20 kilometres throughout the competitions, which average at approximately 11.5 kilometres per game. In the final, he covered a distance of almost 15 kilometres."

You said you agree with Hazy that Gundo, along with Xavi doesn't cover a lot of ground because they don't need to.

But now you're showing me that last season Gundo did cover a lot of ground.

FTR - Gelson probably covered a lot of ground too. That's not the definition of "working hard"

I said I agree with his assertion that he's similar in style.

And he said his style was that he doesn't cover a lot of ground because he doesn't need to.

Gundo is a world class player, if you want to disagree fine. I love his style and the goals in big games. But it's is just an opinion Mase.

...has turned into an incredible player for us. Good close ball control, incredible passing, shoots well, and is working extremely hard to win the ball back. Great signing.

I’ve been a Gundogan critic, but I think he’s played very well recently and much better than last season on the whole.

When we play him further forward he is class and dangerous. A very good provider with a great delivery.
I don’t however see him as cover for Fernandinho and still don’t trust him when asked to do that.
It’s not just him though. We don’t have anyone to cover that adequately.

Ferna and Sergio are impossible to replace. The trick will be adapting. The style as both may go at the same time as Pep.

Jesus has scored 12 goals in his last eight appearances at the Etihad Stadium. In that period, he has scored once every 58 minutes in front of his own fans.

Also, we're only 2 weeks into 2019 but he's outscored every PL team except Tottenham & Arsenal by himself.
Personally, I'd start him again vs. Huddersfield.
