MotM v Everton

Postby Beefymcfc » Wed Feb 06, 2019 10:01 pm

Ain't got a clue myself, only seen live text in the Beeb. 3 huge points, I'd even say 'Massive', but who in this game took us back to the top of league?
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Went for Laporte. Got the all important first goal and contributed to the clean sheet. Bernardo and Gundogan both had their moments as well

Ed didn’t put a foot wrong.
Mopped up Walker’s brain fart comfortably.

Between Laporte and Fernandinho for me, both showed bollox that we needed to get over the line. Giving it to Laporte because he scored too.

One day I would love to be a fly on the wall of a conversation between you and Hazy. I might have to take a 'trip' before though unless we have an in house interpreter?

Assuming we all had the same NBCSN commentary..... "looks like the ref left his cards at home" Fernandinho lead a charmed life tonight, could have easily been booked on his first challenge

FFS again....

Big Ed played very smart but that makeshift left back wasn't too bad either

Didn't watch it because I was sick as a dog. But I imagine Otter was class so went for him surprisingly.

Laporte scored and looked a better fullback than the proper on other side.

Had fern gotten away without a booking I’d have given him player of the season. For once the slant was bang on, he surely had a bet on that yellow because he wouldn’t stop until he got it.
Tracking back is overrated.

You know he only commited 3 fouls in the 90?

The first one was innocuous.

The second one could easily have been yellow and he was booked on his third.

I think the squealing scousers made it appear that he was getting away with more than he was.

Davies and Calvert Lewin were putting themselves about in a similar manner to Fern and neither was booked.

Poor Zouma got a yellow for I believe his first foul.
