Our left backs for the next season

Postby PeterParker » Tue Mar 12, 2019 6:52 pm

Badly needed stability right there with Delph & Mendy being so injury prone. Who is going to be our two options for the next season?

I am going with Zinch, who deserved it all the way because he stepped up when he was needed + a solid one that will be a regular starter and will be reliable when needed.

Zinch has done nothing wrong this season and played well in some big matches. I'd have him + another.

We need another but Zinc is an excellent utility squad member.

I’ve given up on Mendy.

I would break the bank for Alaba.

Some of Zinch's touches and passing is up reminds me of Silva and Gundo this year. Plus he's seems like a really positive guy to have around. Would be crazy to let him go/force him out.

The other 2 should be replaced with someone who doesn't get injured every other game (although I like Delph). Sessegnon would be a great option in my opinion

I can get on board with that but can't see Bayern selling to us, at any price.

This for me too. I don’t hate Mendy like many here do, but facts are he never plays and we need a LB.
Tracking back is overrated.

He's lack of pace is a bit of a worry tonight. That Ebola guy his up against is rapid, though.

Embolo?
That fella is really a mistery for me. He was sold as the next Eto'o at Schalke from Basel, but his stats are wank both for club and nation. Had a long term injury also.

Yes, that is why he is a mistery for me. He seems class, but something is missing from him.

They'd sell to us if it meant us being banned from all competitions
