Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

As a person he is an idiot who is easily swayed by that plank of an agent. But as a city player he is a Legend and always will be. Cake or no cake.
With you on this one.
Sad when I think about his last words on us/Pep. When I watched the Amazon documentary bit about him it was hard to take, but what he's done for us also cannot be forgotten.
I understand why Silva will always be the good son to our fans, but Yaya's effectively our prodigal son.
Complicated member, but still part of the family.

Lyon probably got a bit better by signing Moussa Dembele from Celtic

See Eden Hazard has made a statement regarding where he potentially sees his future. He says he is torn between signing a new deal at Chelsea and going to Madrid as that’s always been a dream of his. He also says he wouldn’t say he was going to sign a deal then rescind that decision meaning he could then leave on a free when his contract was up.
Assume Madrid have made contact through his representatives so it will be interesting to see what happens in January

Maybe abramovich will make him a little more torn with a few more millions.
I hope he goes, he is the fourth best player in the league after Silva, KDB and Aguero.

the versatile Nathan Ake allegedly in our sights now - LB/CB/DM
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football ... y-13449051So with fellow cloggie Frankie de Jong top of Pep's list, Zaha in for Raza if he doesn't re-sign and Neves coming as back up for Fern, it's looking like two busy windows ahead.

Interesting how the Rabiot saga went silent without him signing with anyone. From there and now comes that info he is signing with Uefalona, but nothing official.
I think Ndombele and Chillwell are almost done deals for us. Don't think anyone else will follow.

Hopefully not on Chillwell. Saw him at the weekend and he was awful.

He looks a player like when Van Dyk left Celtic, I said we should have had a nibble. I have seen the kid Sarr at Rennes twice live he has ripped Danny Alves and Monreal to bits, Same with the Osumane Dembele when he was at Rennes, Dortmund took a gamble and 90 mill later he is at Barca.

I too am not sure on Chillwell. One of his first games was against us in the other famous Mahrez penalty miss. He was outstanding but he looks like he was plenty off-days too.
I predict Leicester will sell for around 50m+ in the summer, Rodgers will go back to Celtic and buy Kierney for 20+ million and they will be no worse off with lots of money in the bank.
Personally, I'd like to see us have a look at Ryan Sessegnon.

It looks increasingly likely that we will hit by a transfer ban by FIFA for signing under aged players (under 18 from outside the EU) just like Chelsea and previously Barcelona and Madrid. it's seems to be connected to a Danish club and the Right to Dream academy in Ghana, which are both owned by one and the same (English) bloke.
If we really have breached any rules in this the people responsible should get the fucking sack. Didn't anyone do a risk-return calculation? We actually might be banned from buying/selling players because of a few African kids who will never ever be even close to play for our first team. Unprofessional and stupid, to say the least.

You’re correct Nool - you hope incompetence and lack of clarity around the rule are to blame as to risk a transfer ban for such minor potential is really fucking stupid
Anyway - how have our loaners faired this season? Heard Louis has done alright, tosins not really been given a chance but he’s not done well when he has been given a go

Well we can't say it's victimising City in this case. Barca seem to have survived and maybe we could use one or two of the 500 players we've got on the books. Maybe Mase's youth emphasis policy will finally pay off?
Not depressed by it to be honest. As long as people don't clamour for those who aren't good enough to be 'given a chance'
