It really looks like UEFA thought, "OK, we want the four best teams left to go through to the semi finals: Barcelona, Juventus, City and Liverpool."

Seeing some claim the aim was to keep both us and Juve away from Barca until the finals. So it would be either Pep vs Barca or Messi vs Ronaldo.

I think Ajax will beat Juve, they are a very good team !!

What I dislike about this is that after the second leg with Spurs we are playing the rags in the league.

I don't think they are. Not even top in a poor league. They caught Real at exactly the time they imploded

You could be right, I’ll be rooting for Ajax though....just so Tranny is not involved in our game.....assuming we beat the Spuds of course !!

Apparently away 2nd leg in semi if we get through. The draw is outstanding. Dippers likely up against Barca I'd say, at the key moment in the PL.

If City fail v Spuds over 2 legs with the 2nd one at home, they wouldn't deserve to go through, bent refs discounted.

If injuries clear up, we are in this big time. Big time.

The dates for our Champions League quarter-final tie against Tottenham have been confirmed by UEFA.

City travel to Tottenham for the first leg on 9/10 April, with the return game at the Etihad scheduled for 16/17 April

Both games will kick-off at 8pm.

The away leg is expected to be played at Tottenham’s new stadium.

We should beat spuds and we can beat juve.

If it turns out to be us vs the dippers in the final I might have a heart attack during the game. Us vs Barca in the final would be nerve wracking as well, but I could stomach losing to them

Spurs in the league after the second leg mate and then the rags the midweek following that.

Ah, good. I took the info from the official site, but they changed it. I must have looked when they were updating it.

Playing in their new stadium doesn’t seem fair
That will give them a tremendous boost
Plus I kinda like our home from home London Ground

So our season pretty much depends on beating spuds 3 times in 10 days. But I'm much more confident doing that than the dippers like last year

Not at all. In the prem we've probably only got to match what the dippers do against Spuds/Chavs with what we do against Spuds/Scum.

In the CL a win and a draw would be enough, or two draws and a shoot-out win, or a win and a smaller loss.

We could lose to them twice (as long as both aren't in the CL) and then still go on to win both competitions.

looks like the dippers have to play chelsea in between their two CL games vs Porto. good chance of them dropping points there

Also, pepe is out for the 1st leg but I'm confident he'll take a liverpool player or 2 out before the tie is over

Perfect for us regarding the Dippers.
This sequence of games should stretch their squad past breaking point.
Looks like a minimum of four extra games with Chelsea sandwiched between the Porto games, followed by two against Barca.
They will have to play their key players in all of these games, VVD and the front three, they have been very lucky with injuries....so far...

Then the hype is going to ratchet up big time. I see no reason why they cannot do the double.....can you :) - draining

It is the same for us but we have the squad depth to cope.
