Chelsea fans Salah song

Postby Harry Dowd scored » Fri Apr 12, 2019 8:04 pm

Right, not condoning the silly song, which I will not repeat, however this is the same Salah who is on record saying he would not be in same team as an Isreal player.
Question is, who is the bigot?

What are the words?

Edit: just googled, they call him a bomber?

Football is getting soft. Spurs going to ban their own fans for anti-Semitic chants? Celtic for IRA chants?

Correct but my point is Salah will not play in same team as another person from a different race, is that not racism?

Question is, who is the bigot?

Where's he gone on record saying that? I can see lots of speculation about it stemming from the Israeli and Egyptian press, but no quotes actually attributed to him. It seems as if he refused to shake hands with Maccabi Tel Aviv's players when he was at Basel, but then had no problem being signed by massively pro-Israel Abramovich (who I don't think was an Israeli citizen at the time).

Can't both be bigots?

I reckon if anything firm comes out about Salah being racist, Liverpool will defend him to the hilt, sell him for a profit, and then condemn him, a la Suarez.

This is one example of Salah’s dislike of Isreal

The only firm evidence there is his failure to shake hands, which I already mentioned. He has never 'gone on record' saying he wouldn't play in the same team as an Israeli. The Express basically recycled parts of stories which seem to originate in English-language sites of the Egyptian and Israeli press, and are based on pure speculation.

Did anybody see Dipperpool's statement? What fucking irony after the Suarez incident!

Always the victim, you'd almost think they played each other this weekend.

Is the lack of a handshake not evidence enough of his distain for the Jewish population?

I understand that some thing are off, but really footballers are really soft.

A few years back, in the fourth division of Romania, near Bucharest, not in other villages where it was supposed to be more civil than in the East, etc, a middle league game, one players scores the winning goal in the 93 minute then shows the finger to the local fans.

Of course they step in the field and ran after him, so he also ran. His fucking luck was that near the field where they played was a train station and there was a transport train moving so he fucking jump into it to save his arse.

Those are fucking dramas, not calling a diving cunt a bomber.

Lev, there was always a mix of races, religions and languages ( mostly foul i'll admit  !) on the terraces at Maine Rd,.

It has been the way with City.
It's the same at the Etihad.

It has to be said that City fans are very tolerant , especially of poor performances on the pitch ! (well perhaps not judged by the reaction on here after the spuds game ).

I'd love for that to happen here. RvP swearing at our fans and about a hundred of them run from the stands and make sure he never plays again.

Obviously if it happened to Kola he'd just stand there and twat everyone

Yes, it is. But my issue was with a) him being "on record saying he would not be in same team as an Isreal player", which he isn't; and b) the implication that only one of the two can be a bigot, when both he and the Chelsea fans are, in my opinion.

As I said above, Salah's stance looks to have changed a bit when Abramovich offered him a bigger break, so obviously he's got a price tag attached to his 'principles'. Perfect fit for Liverpool.
