Didn't help kev been missing most of the season. I wont waste my energy mentioning Mendy.
Next season we have to priorise the premiere league and chimps league, play kids in the domestic cups.
To win 4 we would need a squad that even we couldn't afford. A domestic trebble is the absolute maximum, it always was. And to do it would be a truly great achievement.
But I agree on the strategy for next season regarding the cups, they take their toll.
No. We are not the rags. Who are we to decide which cups we can win? Take each game on its merits and play to win each and every game. I can’t imagine Pep thinks otherwise and let the chips fall where they fall.
If we win one pot next season then great. Two would be better still. Three an unbelievable achievement. Four unprecedented. We can do it, we just need a bit of luck here and there
I think you need a lot of luck to take on the 4 competitions. We really could have gone all the way with a fully fit squad, but one thing affects the other. The amount of high intensity games, consistently 2 or 3 a week for months, takes it's toll.
For all the criticism of Pep's rotation policy and some team selections that have baffled us, I have to say, he and the squad have done impressively well and coped admirably with everything thrown at them this season.
I haven't always agreed with team selections, but let's face it, Pep's team has one trophy already, is in the final of another and with two games to go have the PL title in their own hands. We narrowly failed to progress in the CL for various reasons but if we win the other three, frankly I won't give a toss.
To get to this stage of the season with so much to play for is a remarkable achievement, given the injuries we've had.
We question Pep sometimes, that's natural. But I wouldn't swap him for any other manager out there. I always thought 4 was a push too far and the three we are still in for are the ones I would have prioritised. I think we would have lost the league had we progressed in the CL.
