Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Can we be considered the greatest ever top flight English team?
We were told last season after breaking almost every record going that we’d need to repeat it to be considered the best. Well, we’ve only gone and bloody done it. With the possibility of an unprecedented domestic treble on the cards next week in the Cup Final.
198 points in two seasons. Unheard of
The thick end of 300 goals over the two seasons. Prolific
There obviously have been great teams previously, with four sides having managed a hat trick of titles. But those were in different times with not as much competition. And did any of them win with so much style, verve, panache and with a balls out win every game mentality?

Yes.
Also: four English teams in the finals of UEFA competitions, and we finished above all of them.
England has climbed to the summit of world football, and City is at the summit of English football.
Drink it in.
"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer

Without a doubt in my mind after today. The Treble has been accomplished and the manner in which we ripped Watford apart was just unbelievable. 6-0 in a cup Final? Ridiculous.
Listened to a bit of Talkspite coming home and it was full of rags and dippers both trying to denounce our achievements. Morons and to be fair to the presenters, Danny Kelly and Jason Cundy, they just batted them off in the main. One rag from Blackburn was on the money though with him saying the rags are at least five years behind us and the gap is only likely to increase
