I remember him being very good in our side but struggled when the ball went over his head. Slow to turn around.

Replaced Corkuka with one of the best right-backs the Prem has seen.

He had a very upright style of play. Looked elegant and indeed was, until he had to change direction quickly. Then it all seemed to unravel.

Are you sure? I couldn't find anything about this. On his latest post two days ago he wrote that he is getting ready for his 8th season with Lokomotiv.

I liked him, but was unsure of his running style. Looked like he had a melon up his arse.

He played DM in an away match at Newcastle in 07/08 and it was possibly the best performance I had ever seen from a City player. For context, I was 22 or 23 at the time. He was spraying it everywhere and making them chase shadows.

I remember when we sold him that I was shocked we made a profit. Not because I didn't think he was worth more than we paid for him, but because we actually turned a (tiny) profit on a player we'd paid reasonable money for. I don't think that had happened before.

Might have been about paying tribute to Darijo Srna who retired a couple days ago.

Hé was a very elegant player. Good passer. Sadly no pace.

His pace was deceptive. He was slower than he looked

Skilful player but surely the slowest Rolls ever made
